"Adult" School Teachers bully 10 year old Autistic boy into having outburst

What pieces of work these people are. I hope they get more than just getting fired.

Kind of reminds me of this teacher:

These guys shouldn't be teachers if they can't handle kids.

I am a pacifist. I abhor violence in any fashion. But when I see and hear of instances of this nature I immediately think of my own son and how much I love him.

Then the Texan in me starts to bubble up from a place I thought I left behind long ago. I find myself thinking really violent thoughts.

These teachers deserve to be in jail. I spent eleven days in a county jail for having pot on me when I was younger. These "teachers" deserve a lot worse. Better that than what I find myself wanting to do to them.

What's even worse in this case is that the children these people are supposed to be taking care of have debilitating mental disorders and their flippant, rude behavior just aggravates it. How in the world do these people get hired as "educators" in any school system? From the article only one person got fired. The rest were relocated to other school. But can you imagine being the parent in this situation. You love your child very much and these people are doing everything in their power to destroy him/her because of their disability.

Teachers that do this sort of thing should prosecuted to fullest extent of the law & should be immediately fired from work because they have no business teaching let alone children.

I've worked with autistic children and kids with special needs before and while it's an incredibly challenging task, I enjoyed every minute of it. I had one little boy named Esteban and he has just about the most beautiful spirit I've ever seen in a child. To think of someone treating him in this way...it breaks my heart. ****, this **** is upsetting. I'm starting to get a little teary eyed in the school library.

Jesus christ, didn't see that part. These guys should be more than just fired. I mean who signs on to be around mentally handicapped kids just to make fun of them? Only thought that comes to mind is 'control' and a 'superiority/inferiority complex' - never a good thing because those who do that also seek it out in other means. Potential criminals in addition to this, basically.

It's a disgace this woman still has a job.

I sounded more like what I'd imagine the staff at a Juvie Center would sound like than a school

Sadly, these sorts of people exist in the world, and some of them can even be your neighbors. I myself have been subject to this sort of behavior from ignorant people because they little understand the things I have personally gone through. I have been provoked by these people, my youngest sister included, into having outbursts sporadically, the worst of which happened on Monday. I'm not ashamed to say I went into tantrum that I can only half remember now. Luckily I didn't dissolve into violence, which as a child I was prone to if a routine was disturbed by my well meaning, but misunderstanding parents. This story really struck a nerve in me very hard when I saw it on Yahoo's front page, I added it on my Twitter account too. I've been going through a tough time with my youngest sister who has more or less exhibited this kind of mean spirited behavior. For the life of me I just can't figure out why only one person was fired. They all should be held negligent for their criminally harassing actions, banned from teaching any children of any mental capacity and age and serve jail time as well. It saddens me that the world has become so apathetic towards people that need the help of their community the most.

This is why I wouldn't be too upset if aliens came bombarding the entire world tomorrow. Screw humanity.

And after the day I've had, if I were to come home and find out this had happened to my own autistic daughter, things would not have gone well at all for that teacher.

It's disgusting how many truly horrible teachers stay on, because of tenure. I'm a liberal, but I hate what unionization has done to education. Because of the "hired first, fired first" policy, lazy, inefficient, indifferent, incompetent and over-the-hill teachers stay on indefinitely, while passionate, new, creative, challenging, energetic teachers are the first to go whenever there's budget-cuts.

I don't know about going to jail (she hasn't actually done anything illegal), but this woman should never be allowed within 100 yards of a classroom ever again. She's a bitter old word that I can't use on these boards.

That is a disgusting way to treat a child.

Well, here's a bit of an update concerning this incident from the concerned father:

By all means show your support and subscribe to his Youtube channel!

Glad the father is defending his son without losing his common sense

I have been hearing an awful lot about this story on the national news lately and I hope the teacher that had been instigating the bullying of this child is standing up and taking notice of the attention her bad behavior is getting.

Anyways, not quite the same incident, but equally as disturbing is that my big sister's youngest boy was assaulted by a classmate and had his face slammed on the desk. I have no idea what that school intends to do with this, but something had better be done because in the world of adults that behavior is considered assault.

If this was my son, I would have marched to that school and done this.

Based on others comments you're being too kind to the teacher.

This story is one of those stories that would horrify me if I was a parent with a child who has special needs. I hope this teacher gets s**tcanned for what she did to that kid.
