Rubies "deluxe" latex suits are nowhere near worth the price they charge. Waste of money. You can get something alot better for that price.

Rubies and their latex Batman costumes have been around long enough for people to know what to expect. The quality DOES NOT equal the price. Plain and simple. My first latex suit was the Rubies Clooney suit. I had to do so much work to it to make it decent looking it wasnt worth it in the end. Especially after finding the costuming boards that now exist. For an average person who wants nothing more than to dress up for Halloween, Im sure this looks good. But remember, its a stock advertising photo. The actual product never looks as good as the pic when it comes to Rubies and the Batman costumes. For those who are into costuming and doing custom items, we know better. We just try to give people the heads up before they drop the cash.

We have a member over on the BOTB who is able to get one of these latex TDK costumes at cost (the mark up on these is unbelievable), hes going to get one and do a review. When he does, Ill post it here for those who are curious.

There are several private individuals who do claim to do commisions, but let the buyer beware, just because a batman suit is cheap does not mean it's worth the money your paying for it, and beware that these costumes may not be built for comfort, quality, or accuracy. Where I work at, I've had a couple people come in to where i work looking to make TDK armor, and only a few are interested in spending the cash investment to do it right. That, and some people are making stupid gambles with chosing product to construct parts of the costume. Just ask alot of questions to these ebay vendors that will be selling these suits in the very near future.

It's not an external site, just go back into the general Batman board for SHH Boards, and go to the Bat-World forum. There's a longish thread on Joker costumes with lots of tips on clothes, makeup, etc., and there are other threads on dyeing clothes, doing scars, etc.

Does anyone here have any experience making the Dark Knight adult costumes themselves? I've done a kids version, turned out OK, but if anyone has done the adult version I'd appreciate them posting. Thanks. Sam
