Honey, how was your year..?
Make it a balance thread.. Hope it's not a repost, a bad idea, or whatever.
On the up side, I'd say that finally moving out to a different city was the big thing. Also starting (to study) a new career, which is one I always wanted to do (journalism) and I did very well. Just ok. Badly.. I didn't do as good as I expected but at least it's a start--you know, new life, new goal (what?) But I got to write a lot, read some really interesting books (sort of a career-queue list of book) and even got the chance to interview people (in a very amateur, beginners way of course)
Living in a big city also gave me the chance to attend several gigs (I'm a music lover )--though not as many as I wish I could--lotsa great bands came here this year and I couldn't get to see 'em (Maiden, Dream Theater, R.E.M.). Next year is just as good--i.e. in march, Radiohead's coming down here. Though the tickets are insanely expensive and the gig's already sold out, so, heh, what you gonna do
Movie-wise it was also a good year, lotsa good movies I was lucky enough to catch in theaters. I know there was TDK, Iron Man and all that, but my superhero moment of the year was on july 17th, when we all got to see the Watchmen teaser. Seeing Dr Manhattan's city rising over Mars was teh s**t, hands down
On the down side, what I said before my new study, not finishing the year quite well. Also, the 2-robbery-in-a-row thing was quite the big bad thing. Living in a bad neighbourhood has its price, I suppose. Not to mention family issues and the usual thing for almost every human being out there--the bad things that keep the balance thingy going on. Let's say that my year is not ending very well..
There are lots of things that I left out, either because they're boring or just because they're just not your business
Oh, and I broke a back tooth.
Don't feel like talking about your 2008? That's ok Have a happy xmas and new year, and here's to hope that next year is twice as better than this t:
