    I agree, Empire Strikes back is sooo much better. Its like the poster child for films whose sequels were better than the original...I dont understand how AFI didn't put it on the top list instead of Star Wars.

    Thanks man. We tried to make it as fair as possible and I think we accomplished that. Thanks for participating guys. Question for all of you. Out of the 100 films, which one did you guys want to be the winner?

    I think it should be done again for i liked having a rival tournament to vote on. For i likely missed alot of movies.
    Um Star Wars A New Hope should have won.

    If another tournament reccomend. Indy 4, Iron Man and Kung Fu Panda in it.

    Out of all the movies I think I would of liked Pulp Fiction or Shawshank Redemption to win, unfortunately none of my top 10 movies were on the list.

    I don't suppose your going to do another thread like this in the near future with somebody else's top 100 list?

    Awe this tournament was based off of a list of selected films. Not picked on the fly like i do. Awe i think its better selecting films off your own list. Sure you get alot of disliked movies that way but i feel less confind that way lol.

    I would have wanted Godfather to pull through. To me that really stands above and beyond the others in terms of imagination, skill, and influence on the generation. Though a Star Wars win wouldn't have been all that bad :D

    Thanks again for participating everyone! This went really smoothly, and I'd definitely be up for putting together another one, maybe with a different theme though. What about the AFI top 50 villians and heroes of film battle :D?

    I also want to give a shout of appreciation to Trunks, Rezzo, Rocker22, and anyone else who helped keep the tourney going when War Party and I weren't able to do so. Thanks guys!

    Shawshank is ranked #2 on IMDB with popular movies. And of course I have a feeling it also had to do with the age of most of the people in this thread, the fact that 3 90s movies Shawshank, Gump and Fiction made it so high.

    hell yea, this is probably my favorite film, first time i saw this movie, it brought tears to my eyes, great acting, great story, it amazing how good this movie is

    you need to watch it ASAP
