300 made $3.2 million from IMAX and i am 100% sure the movie will cross 200 million in north america and another 300 million overseas.

I don't think F4-2 will reach those heights unless FOX takes imax seriously. I mean it helped their NATM which went on to became a blockbuster. SR would have never cracked 200 million without IMAX.

I think we all should send emails to rothman begging for f4-2 to be released in imax simulataneously as the theatre version or release the imax version atleast 2 weeks after the theatrical just like Sm2.

God i am hating fox and i am losing my interest in f4-2.

Even if f4-2 is good but doesn't make the amount of money 300 will make i will forget f4-2 and basically not support it. I don't know for some reason i want the movies i am interested in to do well. If they don't i start hating them and support other movies.

Fox & marvel watch out u made a huge mistake by not attaching a trailer to 300 and if u miss SM3 then you are officially screwed.

Please start marketing the movie heavily like WB did with 300 and give an imax release and i am sure f4-2 will cross 210+ million in NA alone.

All f4 and silver surfer fans i request you to send emails asking them to do so.

oh btw 300 wasn't 2 hour movie yet it was very enjoyable. I hope if f4-2 isn't 2 hour it is still an entertaining movie.

but don't mention that to fox else they will chop the movie to death.

request them to step up their markting, keep the movie 2 hour or above and finally release it in imax.

Please god help us.

I don't know about IMAX being a huge factor now, but I will say it's a shame they didn't get the trailer attached to 300. I think many people here underestimated that film's appeal. Right now it is THE talk of the town here.

i would have loved to see FF 2 on IMAX, but that is not happening, and I agree. Fox missed a golden oportunity by not attatching something to 300. For the life of me i can not understand why. Think of all those eyes seeing that.:wow:

I agree that Fox missed out on a great opportunity to draw attention from casual movie goers to this movie by not attaching the trailer to 300. However, I think they should be able to garner enough interest by attaching it to Spiderman, since everyone and their mother will be going to see that.

My hope is that the trailer attached to Spiderman 3 is extremely amazing, and worth the wait...

You know...I have a strong feeling that we are all going to be amazed. Just from the little I've heard...

Attaching the trailer to "300" would have been smart but let's not discount the fact that Fox has been attaching the trailer to some top rated TV shows like American Idol, 24 and last night it was on during Desperate Housewives. Those shows pull in from a range of 10 - 30 million viewers.

I would re-think that position. Many of the greatest and most successful films ever made were initially flops, either critically or financially. And many of the top 20 "blockbusters" of all time are (to be kind) extremely overrated.
Enjoying or not enjoying a film should have nothing to do with what the mooing masses "think."

Please god help us.
Hopefully God has more important things to attend to. :cwink:

Tickets go on sale about a week before the release, and I am going to be 1st in line to get mine. Same wih FF 2. :woot: Spider-Man 3, and FF 2, 1 month apart. We have died, and gone to comic book heaven. :woot: :woot:

I agree, but I still think you have to take every oportunity to get your product in front of as many eyes as possible. But as long as they put an eye popping, jaw dropping, trailer with SM 3, all will be well. :woot:

Beyond amazed. This film is going to smoke. The 1st one will pale in comparision. I feel this is going to be bigger then any of us imagine. This film has the potential to be epic, in the comic to movie industry. :yay: The FF, Dr. Doom, The Silver Surfer, and whatever form Galactus takes ? Doesn't get much more epic in comics than that.

Also, Lost and Heroes.....exactly.....and yes all of those shows garner a huge amount of the TV audience.....

I don't see what IMAX has to do with this at this point in time.

I'm assuming (please correct me if I'm wrong here) that developing the film for IMAX format requires special cameras during principal photography, and that it is not a process that can be "applied" after the fact. If so, it's kind of late to be thinking of this.

Secondly, I'm not sure that there are scenes in FF:ROTSS that would really be enhanced in IMAX that would make the investment worthwhile. Large battle scenes are perfect for IMAX, but what in ROTSS would be?

Yes. $70 million box office is huge, but the exposure on these shows, Lost, 24, American Idol, Desperate Housewives, etc. reached more eyes with each individual airing than all the showings of 300 this past weekend combined.

The next 8 weeks or so belong to Spiderman 3. I wouldn't expect to see the FF2 publicity machine shift into high gear til around the middle of May, after SM3's second weekend. That's also when a lot of the big shows (like Lost & Heroes) will be airing their finales.

At the comic shop I visited today, all the buzz was about the Silver Surfer. A lot of enticipation for Spiderman 3 as well, of course, but the Surfer is something new, so...people are talking.
Fox is right on track so far in my opinion.

Yeah, just let FOX continue to focus on the Silver Surfer, and don't allow Sue, Reed or the guy from Charmed any acting parts in the trailer (that'll ruin it). It should be great.

300s the talk of the world. whatever as long as ones with spidey we are ight.

That.........is sad. I don't know what else to say about it and still be nice.

I think you guys might be taking this a bit to seriously.

Yeah you should not be a follow the crowd type of person but I think Tim Story+F4-2 may be a special guy who is obviously having some fun.

Hopefully God has more important things to attend to. :cwink:

And yeah that rumour has been going around, that he is kind of planning a thing of His own.

I understand He has an important "Day" of His own that He is all hyped up about.

However it looks like we get to see FF2 first. hurray!:cwink:

If these 3 things happen, we could miss out on the opening day of FF2...

1). If Carpy says "DC comics are the best..."
2). Nokio has a positive premonition about F4 2....
3). If Visionary says something else in his posts besides..."SS rocks, the cast sucks...":woot:

If these three things happen.........Jesus is coming back tomorrow....:whatever: :o

I agree, I think itd be pretty smart for FOX to attatch FF2's trailer to a big movie in the spring...get everyone talking about it...then release another with SM3 but who knew 300 would make so much?

Night at the Museum started slow, but boy did it pick up to the tune of $ 244.8 million. I think Night at the Museum was a bigger gamble than 300 would have been. But I think it will all work very well in the end. SM 3 will give it a kazillion looks. They should have an eye popping, jaw drooping trailer by then. :woot:

WHAT!!! NATM made 244 million!!!...Now Im officially shocked.
