You guys think it would be wise for DC/Warner Bros to do this and possibly him at the next possible movies villain? I personally am hoping for one. It's just nice for the fans. Your guys thoughts?

I wasn’t familiar with the Green Lantern comics so I was wondering why a character named Sinestro was a good guy. Well, an Easter Egg scene after the end credits reveals that my instinct may have been correct. I got to the bottom of this with Mark Strong, who plays the film’s Sinestro, at the press conference for Green Lantern.
I always think of the Skeletor scene at the end of Masters of the Universe when these after-the-credit scenes come into play. "I'll be back!" And he never was...
Seriously, when the film works and the expectations these scenes create are eventually fulfilled, then they're awesome. But it's a pretty crappy legacy to have tacked onto a film's ending if it hints at a sequel that never comes to fruition. Bulleye's during-the-credits scene in Daredevil is a similar example to the one above, although I sort of appreciate that one on its own merits, as it confirms that Matt wasn't a two-time killer in the film, at least.
We see the main power battery as the camera pans in to the center, a yellow power ring comes out of it floating in space. The camera cuts to someone in the GL costume taking off his ring and replaces it with the yellow ring and camera reveals Sinestro and his costume turns from green to yellow with the Sinestro Corps logo.
Saw Green Lantern today and I gotta never has a major moment felt so uninspired. It felt irrelevant and was an after thought when it could of been build up and been an arc in the sequel. What a disappointing moment for something so important IMO.
Well i dont see it as an after though I saw it as he tried the ring on to see how it was and I get the feeling in a sequel (if we get one) Sinestro's gonna have the ring and its gonna build up to him using it permanately all the clip showed was him trying it out.
I don't see it as an afterthought at all. It's a coda. That's a very important moment. And it wasn't just thrown into the story. The film set up that he wanted the ring, why, and the risks of using it...the coda showed him put it on. It doesn't mean he's a villain now.
