Just a thought, but since Profx is dead (even though we all know what is going on), would the Age of Apocalypse not be a great Triology to go into.

Impossible

there ios no chance that the general public would even be able to comprehend the storyline of AoA

I think they could. It would have to be well thought out and the movies might need to be longer than the standard film, but it could be done.

The general public would catch on with ease.

The world went to crap in the comics because Xavier died, but in the end of X3, the world isn't too bad off.

there is way to much to explain, and AoA would be the first movie ever to justify spending over 300 million on and i don't think fox would want to do that

if gambit and bishop and sinister and Apacolypse haven't been introduced yet, AoA pt. 1 is going to the biggest ***** of a movie ever to make

i think sinister in x4 as the main bad guy and in x5 apocalypse.
they would have to drop hints on apocalypse in 4 showing that he will be in 5 , i dont think it would be a problem being that sinister and apocalypse have a long history together .

They also have a tie to the Summers family and Gambit, Sabretoothe was also a memeber of the Marauders, they could bring him back too.

instead of an actual AoA movie, I'd prefer some kind of build-up like that in X-Men Evolution.

The reason the AoA worked in the comics is because Professor Xavier did die, but someone went back in time to kill him before a number of key story events. This created an alternate timeline where things were not quite as they seemed, and to restore order, X-Men had to travel back in time to stop Xavier's assassination.

In the movie franchise, Xavier is dead... but the X-Men have already been created and have been on numerous missions, so his death wouldn't create an AoA the same way as the comics.

And as Boiiinng said, right now in the movie-verse, the world doesn't appear to be too bad off, so trying to create anything that resembles the AoA from the current point in the movie's timeline would be rather confusing and hard to accomplish.

Hey they are making Batwoman a LESBIAN so why cant they change things around. I hate the fact that they change chararctors and story lines, but I think it could work and the Xmen franchise could go on.

you know i think there should be a story with Apacolypse in it, i am not saying he shouldn't be in X4 all signs seem to be pointing to sinister, and in turn point to Apacolypse

just AoA is not the only Apacolypse story, there are plenty of others that are just as good

they will probobly end up combining alot of stories for 1 or 2 movies about apacolypse, but AoA i am guessing, at least stylisticly will have the least amount of influence on the movies

because if they think that Genral Audiences wouldn't get or like Wolverine in a mask, why the hell would fox expect them to get this whole alternate reality

Yeah I don't think the AOA would work with the current story line. But if they did make this Movie about Apocalypse I wouldn't mind watching it at all.

if an X4 is considered...they can not go into it thinking trilogy...they need to make just another X-men story and wrap it up in one film...because they can re-use characters in sequels and story arcs and ideas...but not start another back to back thing...because if an X4 (if guys okay...only if) bombs...then you don't get to see that new trilogy idea set up...say Apocalypse, ever come to an end...no instead...they pull the plug for real and hang on to it to re invent it 20 years later...so...no...no on the "lets start another trilogy" front. It needs to be a good complete film by itself.

They would have to commit to it being a triology. There would be no other way to do an AOA.

It may never be done, but I don't see the X men or anyother comic or non comic making 20 movies.... I would think that if they do another triology, this would be it. If not, then a single story line would not be worth their money and time IMO.
