Agent Carter Agent Carter General Discussion Thread - Part 1

Wonderful news and well deserved!!!!

I...I had hardly dared allow myself to hope.

Good job, ABC!
Yeah, I was getting super pessmetic about this, not to get my hopes up and have them crushed. So happy it worked out. :yay:

Based on their tweets, Murray and Gokaj will be back.

basically that is how I feel in gif form :hehe:

So would adding a Superhero (like Jim Hammond) be too much of a distraction?

G'day,

Why should it? No more then adding Quake, Mockingbird etc is a distraction from AOS. In fact the show really needs both super heros and super villians. At this stage she's little different drom a FBI agent.

They should have young Hank Pym, Zola, maybe even Winter Soldier

Yes please. Toss in perhaps Zola, if the Zola in Civil War is a descendant. Could be a nice way to connect it to the upcoming Marvel movie, like season 1 and Age of Ultron with [BLACKOUT]the Red Room Program.[/BLACKOUT]

A little late to the party, but I'm glad it's renewed. I like having almost a continuous season of Marvel stuff leading up the the first movie release in the spring.

Zola was there in the last episode. It makes perfect sense. Plus, the return of Dottie. :atp:

I'm so happy this was renewed.

After watching Agent Carter and the giant mess known as Arrow season 3 in the same year, Tara Butters should teach her husband Marc Guggenheim how to write a coherent story.
:ninja:

Pym in particular would be a great addition.

That would be great but they would have to set the show sometime in the 60's to even include a Hank Pym that would be old enough to work with S.H.I.E.L.D.

Excited can't wait!

Has a DVD/Blu for Season 1 been announced?

Young Hank Pym, young Fury, etc. will require too big of a time jump to be viable.

My only hope (which is somewhat unlikely considering what the showrunners have said) is that we start off with Director Carter. A retread of a bunch of SSR agents continuing to go "Look, she has those mam-bags that impede her abilities as an agent. It's just science, you know..." would be a bit of a step back to me. The SSR in season 1 basically functioned like the FBI for all intents and purposes. I just want the stakes to be a bit higher this time around. I want SHIELD in its infancy!

Jim Hammond the original Torch would be a good start. maybe his partner Toro.glad this was renewed
