Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. - 5x03 - "A Life Spent" - Discussion Thread

fitz is credited for this episode ... will he appear ?

He will probably have a 2 min scene back on Earth. That's the benefit of him being left behind. They can shoot his scenes whenever, and drop them in w/o any continuity issues due to appearances of the other cast.

Interesting development.

My local channel is showing Trump. Is there somewhere I can stream AOS?

via the ABC app or the website maybe.

They just dropped a mention of a multiverse the possibilities and 616 reference oh my.

Getting the **** kicked out of her, damn.

Did they mention what species the red eyed aliens were? If they did I missed it.

I was surprised the use of Kitty Prides powers was so gory was not expecting that on ABC a Disney owned channel.

Looking forward to Quake in the Inhuman gladiatorial matches next week.

When the bus was shot down over the Hydra base before they called in the Avengers to open the Age Of Ultron that was SHIELD flight 616 also.

I remember from before they said that children did not have metrics and aside from the one hiding in the airlock we have not seen any children or parents for that matter. Those chosen for the random fight did seem older, beyond menopause for the woman.

The real product of earth's asteroid field seems to be Inhumans. I am thinking the Kree are a criminal gang and not part of whatever governing body that sent soldiers to destroy Inhumans when they started showing up on earth. While they are calling the Inhumans "soldiers", as that what was the experiments was supposed to be for, there seems to be a lot of gladiator combat in the MCU galaxy

The science of this episode worries me a little bit. What's left of the Earth should not have that much gravity.

I wondered if they were supposed to be Pink Kree. I don't know if they want to go down that road (particularly if the movies don't do it first, but it's possible).

Artificial gravity?

I don't think the Feige mandate cares about the races after being shown the Star Wars bar scene in Guardians and Thor it is the characters that count. As a bone ABC Agents have been allowed to play with the Kree. But since everybody knows that there are multiple races they could be practically anything
is the light hse built into the remains of the earth or is it rebuilding it?

I think it was a survivalist bunker in a large chunk of the earth. Given that selling Inhumans seems to be the main product I am thinking maybe that is where Black Bolt took the royal Inhuman nation for the tie in..

yeah but that wasn't Kitty. Powers more similar to Vision really. Unless Kitty can become super dense too (haven't kept up with her really)

That bothered me as well. I'm no physicist, but I would think that any large chunk of what's left of the Earth (like we see in the show) would loose all of it's atmosphere and most of it's gravity. No lightning, no clouds, no breathable air, perhaps even no sound.
