hip-hop is the worst thing that could've happened to black people. it shows them as people who are only after sex and money.they once invented jazz which changed the music history.i'm glad alanis is not afraid to say that hip-hop is stupid.maybe this will put an end to it.

I'm going to write a petition stating Alanis needs to do a whole album of songs like this. She'll be the Richard Cheese of chick-alt-pop.

I vote for her to do Hollaback Girl next.

Oh Gwen...you used to be so loved.

Joe Cocker should do "Sexy Back".

OH MY GOD. THAT IS ****ING BRILLIANT. HOLY ****. Awesome. :o

I :heart:alanis
She tells it like it is

I hate both versions, but Alanis' was pretty entertaining. (If only for how ridiculous it was)

I wish Mozart was still alive - he could do a killer "Smack That" :o

Best.

F***ing.

Video.

EVER

Christ, I hate that song, but my best friend is always dedicating it to me when we go out. It's well annoying

She actually looks hot in that video.

Funny how most of the youtube comments were: "Alanis looks so hot!" (I actually like the original "My Humps" song...I thought it was catchy and funny :csad: )

Anyone who likes "My humps" should have their right to vote in government elections taken away.

Another thing that most people don't seem to know or that they forget....The Black Eyed Peas version was SUPPOSED to be funny and making a kind of mockery of the serious hip-hop songs about ass, etc.

For example, from back when the single was released:

Just check out My Humps, a song off the Peas' new record Monkey Business, which hits stores Tuesday. It sounds like an ode to her curvaceous physique. Fergie -- a.k.a. Stacy Ferguson -- vehemently denies it.

"No, no, no, it's a character," she said with a laugh recently during a rare one-on-one interview with the Sun, a Canadian newspaper exclusive.

"It's a definite character. It's all tongue-in-cheek. It's just a fun song portraying that situation. It's going to be really fun to perform."

Then it must be a character she carried over into her entire solo album. After all, this is only the first time she's had anything resembling a singing career since Wild Orchid broke up. Why would she want to make a serious record or say something profound, when she can make music that appeals to the lowest common denominator and claim it was supposedly ironic when someone calls her on it? That ho.
