Alicia Silverstone Has No Business Being In a Batman Movie

I don't get all the hate for Alicia Silverstone as Batgirl.

I think she did a good job with what she had to work with.

I don't think it's so much hate for her specifically, as it is another target to vent frustration about a truly awful movie that was an injustice to all the characters it represented. I don't have a problem with her being Batgirl, as long as its in that movie. I don't really have an issue with anybody playing the roles they played, so long as they're confined to that movie.

Eh, I can't really critique any of her other performances. I haven't seen any of them.

Well, I saw Clueless a very long time ago.

And I think I saw bits and pieces of a movie with her and Benicio Del Toro.

You acted like Joel handpicked her?

You do realize, at the time, coming off of Clueless, she had this HUGE contract with the studio, and a way to pay off there 3 or so guaranteed film contract with her, was to give her a part in B&R.

Who cares... shes fit. In a film that bad, she is the only nice thing to look at. Glad she was there (y) .

I agree she was the only decent thing to look at, Thurman is disgusting in general let alone in those horrific outfits.

Richard Pryor had no business being in "Superman III", but should I let that go and move on since that particular movie came out 25 years ago!? What's the point of analysing films past and present films if you're not going to give much scrutany to the actors?

And he was the saving grace of the film!

^ I love Pryor, but he sucked in that film, along with the whole film itself!!

From my understanding, the contract was actually with Sony/Columbia, not Warner Bros., who distrubuted "B&R".
