This new interview with Gina Holden of "Flash Gordon" has her talking a little bit about AVP2.

iF MAGAZINE: What can you tell us about ALIENS VS. PREDATOR?

GINA HOLDEN: It premieres at the end of December. It was a fantastic experience because I’m such a big ALIEN fan. The whole casting process I was just blown away I was able to read for something like that. Being the nerd that I am for that kind of thing I was like, "really, I’m reading for this." And the when I got the part I was more excited and when I got on set, I was working with the original crew from ALIEN and sitting next to this creature, I was just pinching myself. I couldn’t believe I was there. It was a fantastic experience.

iF: What character do you play?

HOLDEN: I play Carrie Adams, she’s the wife of one of the Colonel’s in town. She’s a waitress and she’s an All-American girl and gets into some crazy situations, and it was fun.

iF: Do you get to battle the Aliens? Do you become Sigourney Weaver at some point?

HOLDEN: I wish. Something happens with me that I’m not so much like Sigourney, but I do come face to face with these guys. It’s pretty exciting, you’ll have to wait and see.

iF: Do you get to meet a Predator and an Alien or just one of them?

HOLDEN: Just one.

iF: An Alien?

HOLDEN: Yes.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure "the original crew from Alien" wasn't on this picture. Maybe she meant Aliens. Woodruff and Gillis worked on that at least.

The fake trailer was so easy to tell without even clicking (I still haven't seen what that leads to), and now I'm reading an AVP Galaxy thread praising AVP over Alien 3. This is turning into the saddest day ever.

EDIT: And now I've read the Holden interview. Wow. Just when you think your enthusiasm couldn't dwindle lower...

Why thanks, my that's my thread. And last night after I was told repeatedly that I was worthy only of derision and that I was blatantly ignorant because my opinion is so incredibly stupid that it is literally an incorrect opinion (you can't make this stuff up, folks) with no possible validity right on the face of it, I didn't even know what to say in there. I still don't, except that I'm blown away by how vile and close-minded Internet fanboys can be. Seriously? We have people who believe that their opinions are factually right and any dissent must be factually wrong? I'm left to wonder if some people on this Earth could do humanity a fine service via suicide. What started off as a simple celebration of something that I really enjoyed despite all the haters turned into me getting gang-raped by those same haters. Typical bull****, really; this is why I hate people.

I think we must give Alien 3 this - It's better than any of the laughable alternate scripts that I"ve read for the movie online. So I guess we're lucky it wasn't something about a friendly alien who helps a family escape from a planet that tries to eat them.

Not exactly promising, but I kinda doubt she survives at least. She seems to be implying that she gets pwned by the alien. It's... something.

I know how feel man....ALSO...aren't you sick and tired of people syaying they are Aliens "fans" since such and such in interviews...thats how I know this film is going to be lame....real spit!

I'm so happy other's feel the same way as I do. They either need to re-invent it like Batman Begins...or just leave it alone already.

No, it's not. His entire body is more sleak, like the previous 2 Predators. He isn't a steroid freak like the AvP Predators.
