So, I am not sure if this is the proper thread or if it's something that be fixed, but I am having some real issue with this ad for Alienware Alpha or whatever. First off, it pops out to cover half of whatever page I am viewing, which is annoying enough, but I cannot close the ad half the time. Some times I can and just go about my business, but more often than not I have to refresh the page and hope the next time around I can close it via the X button in the top left corner. It's also asking me if I want to allow or deny something permission to my computer? s0.2mdn.net?

It's honestly getting to a point where it's difficult to navigate the forum.

Started getting it today and agreed.

Get "Ad Block Plus". It's free and works a treat...

Ok, if that's what I have to do. But I am curious if this is how the ad is suppose to function. Very intrusive.

I generally agree with the idea that Adblock hurts the websites we view the most, since they rely on the ad revenue to stay afloat. But when the ad is so intrusive, and so overwhelming (like the one you describe), you kinda have no choice. I use Adblock, but I tend to have it disabled on the sites I visit the most, but SHH has always been one that I can't do that with. They've had a long history of just ridiculously insane ads taking over the main page, and it's really frustrating.

Yeah, that's pretty much my experience too. If a site has a good balance with their revenue producing adverts, then I'll allow them.

Otherwise? Forget it... They're gone.

screenshots help us, so please post them if you see the ad again

Speaking of annoying ads I keep getting that full screen polaris pop up ad all the time on the main page.
