I was at Adam Hughes table today at Fallcon speaking with him and a woman at his table (I didn't catch her name) about All-Star Wondy. We were discussing possible release dates. They commented that DC typically likes to rush and solicit a book as soon as they have even a single issue in their hands.

Hughes was hoping to get a six issue head start before #1 is solicited. So they said they were 'tossing around the idea of starting on issue #6 and working backwards to #1.' Essentially, Hughes would be leaving DC no choice but to be patient and wait for him to finish his six issue head start. Maybe that's been done before but I've never heard of anything like it.

Makes sense, but they can always just fire him. Though, I think its soemthing they should do, since DC announced it wasnt going to be out until maybe Fall of next year anyway.

Hopefully that works out for him. I'd rather have them delay the initial release of the book and have Hughes plenty of time to write and draw, than him having a ton of delays like ASB&R.

That's a good plan. I hope they stick with it

Nah, if he wants to go with that plan he should start with issue #4 or #5, and then work back from there, #3, #2 and #1, THEN #6.

That way if there´s something he wants to change in the ending, like have Steve die at the end or Wondy marry Mr. Terrific :D , he can change it effortlessly.
