I never found Batman & Robin to be a bad movie. I can understand why it's disappointing as a sequel, and in adapting Bane.

At the risk of being Batman-centric, I think The Riddler should be included. The LoD can't match the JL for brains, but it can for devious intelligence.

Don't they have Lex Luthor for that?

In hindsight I think I was mostly just being a contrarian during the lead up to the Catwoman debacle.

And you're right to be contrarian; Catwoman is awful. I actually think B&R is better. That's why I changed it. I don't think we're at Catwoman level yet.

au contraire there were lots of internet message boards in 1997. Ain't it Cool News was one of the first to give it a terrible review and the boards were full of trashtalking and trolling.

And you're right to be contrarian; Catwoman is awful. I actually think B&R is better. That's why I changed it. I don't think we're at Catwoman level yet.

You misunderstand me. In 2003-2004 I was defending Catwoman during the lead up to the film's release while everyone else thought it was going to be crap.

I don't believe that I'm being a contrarian when it comes to FF though because I've acknowledged that the chances of it being garbage are pretty good right now. The more Fox hides it the more I won't have any hope for it eventhough I do like the cast and director.
