Only if WB makes him an offer he can't refuse.

In only a few months, the film is less than a year away!

This is the time logic I use to get through Monday's. :o

Until March 25th, 2016, every day is a Monday. Unless we get some trialers or official pics first. On those days, it will still be Monday, but it will be a holiday.

Watching the "Mad Max: Fury Road" trailer makes me wonder about the Justice League movie which was almost directed by George Miller. I read the first draft of the script a while ago, and it was pretty good, albeit overstuffed. It combined quite a few elements from "Infinite Crisis" into an overall decent script which would obviously be polished further to remove some glaring issues.

The script did have a few really awesome scenes including the final battle with the OMACs, a very well written sacrifice by Barry Allen and the absolute highlight - a fight between Superman and Wonder Woman (with Aquaman and Martian Manhunter for backup).

Wonder what would have happened if the writer's strike and a weakening dollar had not prevented the movie from being shot in 2007, all the actors, cast and crew had already gathered to shoot in Australia before the plug was pulled.

They should cast DeNiro to play Superman's grandfather Seyg-El in the new TV series Krypton.:word:

Brando already played Superman's father, Jor-El. DeNiro played a younger version of Brando's character Vito Corleone in Godfather II.

Pretty sure we're talking about the same JL movie that Nolan pulled the plug on. That cast sucked balls anyway.

Err it wasn't because of Nolan.
Maybe it wasn't, but i've read quite a few things that made it seem like Nolan got WB to pull the plug because it would interfere with his story, having 2 Batmans confusing the audience.

JL was in nearly parallel pre-production with Nolan's Batman. I believe that WB pulled the plugon the JL mainly because of the Writers Guild of America Strike.

Maybe it played a part afterwards but they were ready to go into production. The writers strike stopped it in it's track.

George Miller has been upfront about that, the Writers strike combined with the Australian Dollar strengthening almost 20-25% in a week which meant that the tax rebates from Australia weren't going to be too beneficial anymore killed the movie.

Typical selfish Australians, dodging the global recession.

"That was a whole bunch of complex events," Miller added. "It was the middle of a writers strike. There was Australian rebate legislation that was required to get the film going. It was just a whole complex series of events. It was no one particular's fault that it didn't happen."
Miller's JL would have a different Batman (Armie Hammer) since Nolan's Batman Begin was in development at the same time.

So image if these two films were released at almost the same time. This would also mean that we may have got a different Green Lantern (Common the rapper in JL) and a different Superman (DJ Cotrona in JL). Maybe Bale's Batman & Routh's Superman in parallel with JL's cast?

I remember that. They were so far into production they even had the actors IN COSTUME for promotional pictures. I hope one day we get to see those pictures. They were done by WETA, the utility belt was so detailed that it was even functional with folded batarangs.

Miller wanted Bale and Routh at first, but he decided to go with a parallel universe; there was also rumors of both Singer and Nolan were displeased with his original idea. I'm glad that film nevah happened.

Mark Hughes just tweeted that the BvS trailer did NOT show at the Hobbit premier last night because they don't have trailers for big premiers like that, but I tweeted back asking if he's still on board with the notion that it WILL be aired during the regular premier next week. Still waiting on response..

It won't.

We would've had word of it by now. But we've heard zilch.

Another reason not to see The Hobbit 3.
