Too old for Hal, imo. Unless they want him to be as old as Bruce.

Pah! when has that stopped people?

WB/DCE have been great with representation and race bending lately so it would seem a little ass-backwards. Anyways, I'm gonna drop this GL talk as it's WAY off-topic.

New thread, New Aquaman pic.

DC could make a Star Wars like story from the Adam Strange characters.

If they want an older, veteran Hal Jordan an actor who comes to mind, who has a lot of goodwill from the geek audience and who wouldn't add a huge salary to the film, is Andrew Lincoln.

I'm starting to love the unpredictability of all this.

I havent seen him in anything other then the Walking Dead but hes not bad. I just dont think he has the face for Jordan. Definitely good acting chops though.

In regards to Echart or really anyone like him who have had big parts in previous DC or other comic book movies. My feeling is generally like this.

That exactly what I want them to do. Hal should be as old as Bruce is. Mid forties.

Hal should be Bruce's foil. The only guy on the team who isn't buying into his boogeyman act and occasionally calls him on his paranoia.

If Tom Hardy can be considered and cast for Suicide Squad, then Eckhart can come back to play Jordan.

Even though Hardy isn't in Suicide Squad anymore, I do agree with this statement.

Man, these threads move so fast I don't know what the topic is anymore :funny:

I'm not a fan of Hal or any other Leaguer making Batman look kind of bad, but then again I am biased.

Im a big Batman fan as well but I think its good for the team dynamic if they made Hal the guy who isnt scared of him (thats his whole thing as a lantern really) and Superman will be the guy who playfully teases Batman since he knows hes dangerous but still believes in what he does.

Wild theory: What if General Swanwick becomes the DCCU's version of John Stewart? Think about it: He's military, has a Stewart style attitude. A GL ring could find him, and it soul explain Sam Lane apparently coming into the picture. Maybe Lane becomes General because Swanwick leaves to be GL?

I know it's crazy, but.....thoughts?

If General Swanwick becomes a superhero it'll be Martian Manhunter.

Much like the Diggle/John Stewart rumours. I think just keep Diggle & Swanwick themselves in their respective universes and build upon their characters and give them more to do rather than supplant another identity onto them.

The main problem with the Green Lantern movie were the villains, when they suck, it ruins most movies, same thing happened with TASM 2, being in space means nothing if the script sucks.

The next Green Lantern film should be with the Corps, use a diverse small group of four lanterns like Hal, John Stewart, Kilowog and Arisia leading the way against the Red Lanterns for example, there you have a better movie already.

Yeah, I suppose.

As long as Bats put them in their place later :o
