Yeah I was thinking last night and I think the treat of the whole IMAX thing isn't about seeing it early, but it's about experiencing a glimpse of history on the only screen capable. Man I can't wait to get home after class monday night and hopefully kick on the xbox, turn up the surround, and scream like a fangirl in my apartment whilst dancing with my cats.

The severe amount of "Dert da durr" on the internet with some people is truly mesmerizing. With one billion articles detailing every move, they still don't want to comprehend reading, bypass all knowledge and make a post about how bad the "trailer" was. Dang, peoples!

So since everyone's viewing here I hate to ask a totally off topic question so I'll mentioned Batman v Superman just to be safe, but is that whole star wars trailer thing definitely happening today? I feel like I've heard it's dropping online, then I heard it's for the panel only?

This kind of tease does nothing for me, even when it's for something I'm anticipating a lot. If it shows even a second from the film then I'll be interested. Look forward to the trailer.

Who knows man! Maybe that shot of the Batsuit could actually be used in the film. Maybe Affleck had just pressed a button that caused the suit storage contained to open up.

I'll be at the Lincoln Center AMC in NYC. I'm down to meet up with fellow Hypesters. Maybe we can help insure that we get the best seats. I'll probably be getting there around 4:30-5:00ish, so if anyone gets there later, they can join up with me in line to get a better view.

I wish I could help you but I have steered clear of both the SW and AVENGERS boards for a long time. I am super buzzed for both but there are far too many spoilers and the like running around for both and it's been like that for awhile. A lot is of course rank speculation but I just want to be as fresh as possible for both. With BvS that hasn't been a problem obviously.

Good. Pretty much my plan as of now too is to get there around that time. I think it would be cool if all the Hypesters around the country could coordinate as much as possible to linking up. It would make this a real communal event.

I'm just not really into teasers, would rather wait till they've got something substantial. I mean I'd like seeing those outfit shots separately, as well as have some interest in the title cards and music but when it gets hyped up as it were actually anything more (as if making it a teaser adds anything beyond those elements) it feels like a fuss over nothing to me. Of course others are obviously getting a lot of enjoyment from it so it's good that they do it. I'll just look forward to what we get next week, really excited for that!

I have class on Monday night, and there's one playing here in San Antonio. But I thought I should double check the showing time just in case it's earlier because I'm central time, and I couldn't even do that. 45 minutes after the drop last night, the RSVP's were sold out.

First of all, I'm sure they'll release the footage online either the next day or immediately after for everyone else.

Okay, this is just frustrating and dumb. The article and comments agreeing.
It's one thing if you don't care for vague marketing like he mentions with A.I., but to be mad at this is different.
IF it was just the teaser and nothing else, so what. Nobody would care. Short teasers happen all the time.
And this isn't a situation where the trailer itself is exclusive to imax theatres. It's going to be released. If someone wants to drive to see the trailer for a huge release, that's their business. And besides, WB isn't making a "clever" game out of this. It's a freaking theatre premiere for a trailer. That's it.
And most importantly, we're talking about movies. It's just as easy to say "just show us the trailer" as it is to just wait for it like a human. Your anger over promotions like this is your problem.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I've seen multiple independent comments saying how this makes them not want to see the movie.
Gah, I hate the internet someti...most of the time.
