I wonder exactly how they are going to present Hunter as Senator Finch? I hope it's not as either corrupt or easily led. Too often characters like that, government authorities are either nefarious or incompetent fools. I would like it if that isn't the case with Hunter. For one, she's too good of an actress for such a simple take on a Senator. Secondly, I think politics in general is much more complex than just painting all members of government as either idiots or mustache twirlers.

The DCCU is already getting scrutinized for being too dark and trying to be Nolan's TDKT. Those criticisms are understandable [blackout], but when they bring in Marvel and say how amazing they are even though the tone of most of their films seem to mimic Iron Man, I just can't[/blackout].

I think anyone in govt like that (and she's probably the head of the committee that oversees homeland security) is afraid when they are responsible for something they cannot control. He's an unknown variable. She probably has good intentions. And she's trying to err on the side of caution. But she's trusting Lex and he's got his own agenda.

I agree. I hope they take the route of having her express legit concerns about superman in a political forum. First and foremost, he doesn't have to be accountable to any authority. That alone is reason enough to be vary of his actions.
