Maybe Snyder can fish GL out of Brazilian soap operas, like he did with Xerxes. Lots of talented hot guys there. None of the feasible popular suggestions work particularly well.

Jake Gyllenhaal would be epic as Hal though. Can;t see it happening though.

Those Mayimbe screen grabs are everywhere now :funny:

Channing Tatum as Hal Jordan

Jake Gyllenhaal or Matthew McConaughey would be the best choices

This is from El Mayimbe's site,

"The Wrap is reporting that Chris Pine has closed a deal with Warner Bros to play Wonder Woman's love interest Steve Trevor. It has been rumored for months now that Pine would either play Steve Trevor in Wonder Woman or Hal Jordan/Green Lantern in Justice League. This report should clear up those rumors and it would appear that WB is still in the casting process for the role of Green Lantern.

While I would have preferred him as Hal Jordan I believe he made the right move and did what he thought was the right move for his career. What do you guys think of Pine taking the Steve Trevor role instead of Hal Jordan? Sound off in the comments below!"

Man, i'm from Brazil and i can tell you that all the actors from here are simply horrible, including Rodrigo Santoro (Xerxes).

Dan Amboyer is far away better. :cwink:

I never really bought the Hal/Pine rumors because Green Lantern would have felt too close to Kirk/Trek, I mean Pine is already doing one Space Adventure Film Series, and I don't think he'd be interested in doing another one.

But Steve Trevor is something different, and Pine and Gadot do look good together.

There are two things I hope the writers focus on since they are using Steve:

First that Trevor is a hero in his own right, he might not wear a costume but he can kick butt with the best of them when he needs to. He is NOT a wimp, or a buffoon.

And Secondly I really hope they make it clear, that a big reason why Steve is attracted to Diana is BECAUSE she is better then him. He is a guy secure enough with himself and his own masculinity to NOT feel threatened by Wonder Woman, but to instead love the fact that she's a bigger bad*** them himself.

If they nail these two aspects of the character I will be pleased. Too often Steve Trevor is written off as a loser by some of the fans. And I hope Pine and the writters show the audience what a great character he can be when done right, and I have no doubts Pine can do Steve justice.

If Channing Tatum drops out of Gambit, I'm all for WB picking him up for Shazam.

Dan Amboyeris actually in BvS. He's listed as "drone pilot" on IMDB. So maybe he's one of the Green Lantern Corp members.

Lol, I've seen some TV shows, they're alright. But I'm joking, you can't have those accents.

Should have made it Cena. :o

As much as I didn't mind Pine for either Hal or Steve, I don't like that Steve Trevor is being written off as just "eye candy" or just WW's bf. He is a great character, that has evolved through the years, and is a great part of the A.R.G.U.S. storyline in the comics.

Jake G would work as Hal. Doubt it happens though. Maybe as Grayson/Nightwing though?

Anyhow, glad Pine as Trevor is a done deal! I'm would have been happy of he was Hal also....but him being Trevor will work! Just glad he is in the DCEU!

If Tatum is really ditching Gambit which I would not blame him at all....than Tatum as Hal would make sense with him having a tight relationship with WB's and the films he has made with them.

I think Tatum is more of a fit as Hal/GL and in the space buddy cop ensemble format than as the cajun Gambit. He seemed miscast from the beginning IMO.
