starting to see the engery ben uses to take on the suicide squad and crazy leto.

Sorry, I keep seeing "Based Snyder" and now "Based Affleck", what does "Based" mean, like based on the comic book?

It's urban slang for totally grounded (or Zen) in marching to the beat of their own drummer.

He thinks it's acceptable to destroy Superman if there is even a 1% percent chance he's evil. He thinks a 1% chance deserves to be treated as an absolute certainty.

That is no way rational, and should not be treated as such.

Superman is capable of destroying the planet in a single afternoon. You don't take chances on a being like that when you don't know his character.

With Batman being such an rage filled jerk... I think it's pretty clear Supes is NOT being hypocritical wanting to such him down. Especially with this last TV spot, I can completely imagine that Batman is going too far and needs to be stopped. Supes seems clearly in the right to me...and I'm a diehard Bats fan who never liked Supes till MoS.
Hm, well when you look at it that way, Batman is seemingly rage filled due to Superman actions in MoS. Which were neccessary despite the damage done to save the world. THEN AGAIN, Batman is just being on the safe side. He's trying to let Superman know there's someone who CAN hurt him. Not kill him, so there's that. Still gonna need to see more.

Bruce has been hanging out with former Veep Cheney.

...maybe, but he has been saving people and pulling cats out of trees for almost 2 years so he could cut him a little slack...

I have a feeling this conflict is going to rich with layers. Snyder said he uses it show what makes each character tick.

It's only been 8 months. And we know that Batman has seen ostensibly incorruptible men go bad. Who's to say that Superman couldn't go the same way as Harvey Dent?

So has Batman....well probably not the cats in trees thing. But he has been saving people.

Nope...Superman already showed his character by SAVING THE PLANET! If that ain't enough to cut him the benefit of the doubt, nothing is.

It's obvious to me that Bruce/Bats is out of his mind over this-- he is feeling helpless because he's encountering things out of his control, and feeling guilty (unnecessarily) because he couldn't save everyone from Zod. He's taking the fever, the rage out on criminals and thinks that's okay. He also seems to think killing Supes will give him back control and protect everyone. This is misguided and deluded.

Must not of ever heard of lil B, don't worry you aren't missing anything

Just some people trying to use trendy internet lingo :o They just found out the words and are posting them frequently to fit in ;)

^this guys got no idea

Maybe it's my phone, but "brought the war to us" sounded a bit modulated to me, which was odd considering he's not in the suit.

Still, great bit by Affleck.

It wasn't your phone, and it was very interesting...

You realize that people are capable of going crazy, changing their behaviors, and acting out of character, right? Apply those possibilities to a man who can see through walls, shoot fire from his eyes, and fly. All Bruce has to go on in the beginning is Superman's word that he won't go bad, and frankly, that wouldn't be enough for me if the latter was a real person.

He also seems to think killing Supes will give him back control and protect everyone. This is misguided and deluded.
I think you're looking at this from the perspective of someone who knows that Superman won't go bad, as opposed to a character in the universe he inhabits. That person doesn't have the benefit of comic books, video games, television series, and movies to tell them that Superman is a good person.

You don't destroy someone just because they MIGHT go bad. ANYONE can go bad. Bruce is completely ignoring that fact. His behavior reminds me of Minority Report, where criminals are arrested for potential crimes. That is not only against civil liberties but totally illogical and leads to disaster.

I doubt Bruce considers killing an alien the same as killing a human. He doesn't have enough experience with the former to equate its right to life as with the latter. That'll change, of course.

I mean, it's not as if he isn't taking into account the last 2 years. That's where the 1% line comes from. Superman's saved lives, inspired greatness, but he's also been (indirectly) responsible for massive destruction and (evidently) cultish sects who'd probably do some nasty stuff in the name of their new 'god'.

Superman also takes into account the good Batman's trying to do, otherwise there'd be no warning.

There's nuance to both sides in these spots/trailers, and I hope it carries over into the movie.

Nope...Superman already showed his character by SAVING THE PLANET! If that ain't enough to cut him the benefit of the doubt, nothing is.

To Superman's viewpoint he was saving the planet, to Batman's viewpoint he was adding to the destruction of Metropolis. Case of glass half empty and half full. Batman's always been a cynic, and a bit of a paranoid control-freak, it is exactly like him to be saying those things.

Ever since we heard that line I've been suspicious on whether there is actually any modulating at all and Affleck can just do that with his voice.

Misguided you say?
