Still there were plenty of moments of Superman showing feats of strength in MOS aswell but we also got more other stuff.

I want to see more of that Day of the Dead scene. Maybe Superman in front of his statue, if there is such scene at all, of course. :D

Superman imitating the statue while people take pictures.

Well if this is anything to go on then I reckon we will

I actually think that's part of Superman Returns problem though Superman's moments are pretty much all feats of strength and not a lot else.

Continued....
That scene of him looking down the flood is so. majestic. I'd kneel before him in no time. That's a great iconic Superman moment waiting to happen.

Am I the only one who liked very much his fast flying scenes? Like those with the spider and in the city, they were shot beautifully imo.

I cannot wait to see that scene

Not at all. Loved them to, I think what Snyder gave us in MOS was the best live action super flight we've ever seen in a film.

I read that as Dawn of the Dead scene, and was scratching my head trying to figure out what scene you were talking about.:yay:

On a side note Zach's DotD is one of those rare remakes I actually like better than the original. The zombies were so much more terrifying.

I remember seeing Man Of Steel for the first time at the movie theater and feeling like this was the best superhero film I'd ever seen, even surpassing Spider-Man 2 for me. I couldn't believe how much soul and heart permeated the film whether it is Jor-El & Lara saying goodbye to Kal-El, or that moment between Clark & Pa showing him the ship, or the tornado scene, or that wonderful moment after the oil rig with Clark floating, with the whale passing by him.

Not only does it dwarf 99 % of all superhero films visually (actually 100 % for me even if the TDK trilogy looks gorgeous, and so does BvS), it also dwarfs them for me on an emotional and heart level.

Man Of Steel has a wonderful feel to it, it's soulful and poetic. That + the amazing score + great direction by Zack, unparalleled action (seriously, nothing in any superhero film comes close to me for now, the battle of Smallville is a masterclass), excellent acting, solid script.

Yeah, I really never got why it divided so much, but I guess it's a good thing, it's way more interesting that way than if everyone goes "OH MY GOSH, it was so great !"

Man that scene looked the best in the teaser. They've done too much to it if you asked me.

The film has a ton of heart and emotion, I've heard people say it's soulless. They can't have been paying attention.

Of the modern CBMs (the ones I consider post Blade in 1999) Man of Steel is definitely my favourite. I also agree on the Battle of Smallville, I don't even see how Zack is gonna top that in BvS it's flawless. If he does then just wow.

MOS again ok

goin back to a way more interesting topic from a few pages ago......

I definitely prefer Darkseid with the classic skirt look

I'm not too big on the New 52 look. It's way too overdesigned, I don't like the yellow or gold elements.

Darkseid looks best when he's simplified as possible. There's also absolutely ZERO need for him to wear body armor.

This is basically the same as the classic suit just with a few updated elements. I like this suit far more than the overdesigned New 52 suit.

Well maybe they will come up with something new for the film tbh thinking of all the Darkseid looks from various comics, animated shows etc I really don't think any of them will translate well to live action.

am i the only one that is completely underwhelmed with the weak posters from this movie? I haven't been impressed by a single one tbh.

They're weak! We need a Drew Struzan inspired poster, the ensemble nature of this film calls for something like that.

And before you kill me, jokesonme ;) I'll say that I have been HIGHLY satisfied by all the stills and footage, but the posters?

Suicide Squad on the other hand has been doing much better. And though I'm more of a DC guy, the Drew Struzan-ish MCU posters are always awesome.

I specifically remember people picking this scene as one that needed work when that teaser came out. Lol.

I'm not a big poster guy so it doesn't really phase me.

Aside frome the nice SDCC one, they are indeed pretty terrible in my opinion.

I might agree. But i will say it's best to go with a simple look. The New 52 Darkseid suit is horrible, and the omega symbol is way overused all over it.

It may be weird for Darkseid to have bare legs exposed. They can keep the skirt but maybe have him wear pants underneath.

And the gigantic boots need to be modified a bit to look more badass.

I don't know about Darkseid needing armor. At the same time not sure how the pants less "skirt" look would translate into live action or even CGI. BUT... Ido know I feel that the general vibe of his design and clothing should evoke the classic, decades old design more than the JLA: WAR look. Something about his classic look screams "god" to me, like Odin or Zeus. The armor thing just makes him another generic big alien bruiser type villain. Also, Darkseid should be bigger than Supes, Bats and AquaMomoa, but making him too hulking is a mistake in my mind.

Now THAT'S a good look for Darkseid, not that dirty mini-skirt wearing pre-52 titan. :o
