...well, it's different, I'll give you that.
Aren't 'Furries' those people who get their kicks dressing up as furry animals?
You have that backwards man. Jaime is the solo character. He has his own stories, villans, supporting cast and a unique mythos all to himself. He is the lead, not the sidekick. Ted is the support character, mostly known for being Booster Gold's buddy or sharing the spotlight with his JLI friends. If you want to do something solo with Blue Beetle, Jaime is the guy.
DC going all out with their female characters, huh?!! I'm glad!
Also that's interesting choice for SS2. Anything is better than Enchantress lol. Never read the Amazo virus arc... Which characters are involved? Is it any good?
I just cant get excited about the new gods movie.
The director doesnt exactly give me a lot of hope or excitement.
Still hoping for the best
Was NG announced under Hamada's leadership, or before?
You got that pretty much exactly backwards. Ted Kord would be great in a Blue and Gold movie or a Justice League International film, but Jaimie is the one who works better as a solo character. Ted didn't take off as a character until they put him in the Justice League and started having him pal around with Booster Gold.
Rumor: Justice League Producer Wanted Mark Wahlberg to Play Green Lantern
New Gods could easily be a cinematic universe of it's own, there is so much mythology to explore.
A "phase 1" could be:
Mr Miracle and Big Barda- They escape to Earth and are pursued by the Furies
Forever People - They are sent on a mission to find the Anti-Life equation before Darkseids forces, going up against Glorious Godfrey and his justifiers
Orion - Him fighting the cosmic war with Apokolips, building up to a showdown with Kalibak and Danny Turpin.
Of course I'd love to have Superman involved, maybe MOS2 could be have Cadmus, Mokkari and Simyan making monsters like the Four Armed Terror or Bizzaro.
This is consistent with the rumors we've seen about WB wanting an older Hal Jordan for the film.
I hope this never happens. There's only a few people I don't want in these superhero films (Marvel or DC). Mark Wahlberg & Tom Cruise are two of them.
I wouldn't be completely opposed to the idea.
I'd be fine with Tom Cruise playing a villain, with make-up etc. I think his zanyness could translate well, but as a hero or a character who doesn't wear make-up or use cgi, I 100% agree, I don't want him or wahly.
I'd much rather see two young lanterns (in hal and jon) both under the tutelage of sinestro. I think that would be a really cool dynamic, where he betrays both protege's.
It's a neat idea and is sufficiently different from the first film.
Cruise should be playing Jay Garrick
Not sure I'd describe Cruise as a 'mostly movie actor'. That's all he does, isn't it?
Could be a reference to Scientology.
That description sounds more like Marky Mark.
Any reason why Marvel/ Fox/ Sony has never cast them (Mark Wahlberg & Tom Cruise) in any of their comic book movies ?
I read it to mean that he only does A list films? Not small indie films or arthouse films?
I would think they would demand huge fees and certain guarantees.
And is there a comic book character that can't hide his Boston accent?
Not a fan of Wahlberg as Hal Jordan. I'd be down for Cruise though.
