Yes and No. Molds taken from Henry. Cast in Silicone. Glued under the suit. It's to give suit muscle definition while also keeping it in continuity. The suit whether it's on Henry, a Stuntman or a Mannequin is essentially a fabric suit with Silicone muscle groups glued under it.

for what its worth, i asked a few friends who are definitely general movie goers and they thought the poster was terrific. i think the fanbase needs to relax

It is kind of funny at times to see the big difference in opinions between a general movie goer and a person who's been following the progress of this film since it started.lol

I mean, I remember seeing on how a regular movie goer, especially one that didn't see the bootleg Comic Con footage, were really impressed with the teaser that we officially got, whereas for those who had seen the comic con teaser were underwhelmed by the official teaser.

Same, showed my friend who likes superhero movies but isn't a die hard fan and she thought the poster was cool and interesting. She also said guy as Superman was hot. Lol. Bring in that lady audience Henry :cwink:

Yes, I believe it is a shoddy human approximation as well.

Cavill has a loyal female fanbase already. So imagine had Henry been casted as Edward Cullen or James Bond.

If MoS is successful next year, Hemsworth could be easily dethroned.

Reading the reactions around the web now, it appears very favorable. Interesting.

Same. A lot of my friends, and friends-of-friends, on Facebook seem to like it. That's great. Kudos to WB for getting people talking. I still think it's a poorly put together piece of material. :)

Everyone I've shown the poster to has at least liked it or loved it. Not one person said it was bad or they hated it. Its just we all expect so much and let our anticipation get the best of us.

I dig it so hey...I can't wait to see what this "crazy" trailer has in store for us

The opinion on Twitter and Reddit is generally to overwhelmingly positive. And I think the difference here is we were baited for this for over 2 weeks. I agree with people saying how it's good to see an original design as opposed to the same view behind someone facing a city (Hey Star Trek Into Darkness). It's awesome how just the image of Superman cuffed is sparking insightful, thought-provoking discussion amongst the masses though. That's a win for Snyder if you ask me.

As for the blurriness could it be that Facebook compresses image quality? It reminds me of these a bit:

Theres a guy over at comicbookresources with contacts within WB and he had some interesting rumours about MOS and Justice league.

Apparently Darkseid was always WBs number 1 choice for JL villain but they are(or were) hesistant to use him to avoid Thanos comparisons. So Wb was heavily considering a second choice-Braniac.

Apparently Braniac is the unnamed force that destroys Krypton in Man Of Steel, thus setting him up to return full throttle in the sequel. But since Marvel used Thanos before WB got to use Darkseid (which was the original plan), they were considering moving Brainiac over to Justice League--thus blocking Ultron (ala Thanos blocking Darkseid).

Which would mean Goyer and Nolan would have had to change their plans for their Superman sequel (hence the trepidation about doing it).

If this rumours are to be believed then it means WB decided to stick with the original plan with Darkseid.which means MOS gets to keep Braniac.

Personally I think Darkseid is a big mistake for the JL movie but if it really means we get an MOS franchise untampererd with it as Nolan and Goyer envisioned.....well Jl can have Darkseid

I think it's just a pretty average poster. Nothing to get angry about. It's no where near as bad as those First Class posters were. It's nothing special but it's solid.

I still remember before they announced this was an origin film, before Snyder and Cavill, Latino Review said the story would have the Daily Planet struggling, Brainiac, and established supporting characters. I'm still wondering if they have that story sitting around or they heard wrong.

Agreed. When I first saw it, I was disappointed. But I've come to love it, and it seems to have sparked a lot of talk around the web. And the trailer will be out next week, so how awesome is that!

I'm too old to get up in arms about a poster. It's an eh poster whatever now bring on the trailer!

Seriously, who cares about a poster when we're only weeks away from a full-blown trailer! The trailer is what's got me excited...and nervous.

Darkseid is one of the best villains ever of the DC Universe. It's not DC's fault that Thanos is a complete rip off.

At this point, I would hope that MOS gets to be the first live action Superman franchise where a director gets to fully direct two Superman films in succession, without any political BS taking place backstage.

Neither Donner, Lester, or Singer have been successful in getting to fully direct two Superman films in a row. Snyder may hopefully be the first.

I don't want any of Superman's solo films to be hampered by what's going on with the JLA. The quality of Superman's solo films shouldn't have to suffer because DC wanted to feed some of Superman's best villains to the JLA.

I'm here for Brainiac being reason of destruction of Krypton as well as the villain in a sequel. Save Luthor for last, i really want villains we haven't had portrayed in film.

I think, if the option is there, Darkseid should fight the whole League. But Brainiac, Bizarro, Metallo, Parasite, Kryptonite Man, Zod, and so on should just be in Superman movies.

Lex Luthor fighting the League, but only after fighting Superman, I'd be cool with too.

I generally think from a design perspective it's very well thought-out and accomplished. It's got that dominant cold blue with the bright red directing your eyes into the middle, being the iconic 'S' so the general masses immediately recognize him. Then the whole image is put in perspective for them and it's Superman been cuffed and escorted by the military. Suddenly you've piked most people's interest just by that simple dichotomy.

I know most SHH members would disagree but I don't think the marketing for this film has been anything less than stellar so far. That teaser we got with TDKR was as beautiful and reverent as it was subtle and underplayed. Now this very smartly targeted poster doesn't just go for a generic flying shot or whatever that doesn't reveal anything, but instead showing a shot of bringing this big character down to our level. Not too mention all the kids that sit on Call of Duty or whatever will love seeing the military focus here.

The concept is fine. Superman, a ridiculously strong individual, choosing to go along with the law’s intent rather than fight it. In Lois and Clark I remember him attending court, going through the process and clearing his name. Or some recent comic series where he attends a nonviolent Iranian protest, gets stuff thrown at him and such but remains standing. But the look of the poster isn’t amazing. Though it doesn’t really bother me. Posters these days are all going the same way. Actual film footage is what its all about.

As long as the trailer looks amazing, everything will be alright!

I personally just want an epic poster of him flying. That's what I need. Not some blurry obscure badly done image.
