It's not an actor's job to like their movies...Bob Hoskins regrets making Super Mario Brothers

he liked it when he was promoting the movie infront of the camera right?:woot:

actors are payed.they are promoting a product. it is hypocritical to bash your movie that bombed 2-4 years later. but i dont hate them. they had to promote the movie and they had to like it when talking infront of the camera.

Some actors take a job because they are pressured into it or they need the money. I do believe I remember Hoskins saying his agent talked him into it. And I don't remember Hoskins promoting the film...I don't even remember the trailers for it

There's also obligations through friendships and networking, money, contracts (Emily Blunt being forced to do 'Guilver's Travels' due her two-film deal at Fox.)

Yep...they'll get you every time

I'm actually starting to wonder on how many spaceships Zod has at his disposal since we saw very different looking ships present on Earth in the trailer and we know on what Black Zero looks like already as well.

I still kind of find it ironic that while a lot of folks wanted Brainiac originally for this film before Zod was announced, that we're getting a Zod who has several brainiac-like weapons at his disposal.

i remember a rumor in 2011 that Zod was already on Earth when Clark was young and that he worked for the goverment. i wonder if this will be true.

Can Henry (after he gets blasted into the safe) get up, rip the safe off it's hinges, rip it in half and use both halfs as weapons??? Toys usually portray films, as kids want to feel as if they are playing with the character from the movie doing the exact same thing. Im a firm believer in toys emulating there move counter-parts, we can learn a lot about the films action sequences simply based off these toys :)

We all know Zack has a crazy imagination for action, I hope this is what happens! This is one scene (ripping a 12-inch thick steel safe inhalf) I would not mind seeing in Slo-Mo! :D

Had to imagine it being true, unless Zod and co have some issues with their bodies where they cant seem to absorb in sunlight naturally like Clark can because their powers alone would be sufficient enough in taking over a regime so unless they've been severely depowered then I don't see why Zod would have waited to so long to start his conquest.

Robot characters; giant spider-like machines, Superman's suit with no trunks, civil war on Krypton, several Kryptonian characters and mythology, and a character that was portrayed as primarily Caucasian within the comics only to be portrayed as a different ethnicity for the first time in the film...

wow, if I didn't know it any better, I'd say that MOS took liberties from almost every failed superman project that came before it.lol
Not to mention a female Jimmy Olsen possible lol.

I cannot figure out what shade of blue the suit is for this film. The set pics and toys suggest a light blue whereas the trailer and Empire pics suggest a darker texture.

On another note, I'm curious what the thoughts of people are if the poster so far (handcuffs escort) ends up being the DVD/Blu-Ray cover. I'd be totally down for this. I think it's a striking image and would stand out as original graphic design as opposed to the generic back-facing sparks orange teal covers to all the rest of the films on the shelf.

I particularly don't buy "studio hates early cut" rumors. Seems all comic book movies who are not fully expected to be good have them at one point.

There'l probably be several covers but I think the main cover will be the first poster that was released. I think this would be the best choice.

this movie just keeps looking better and better!

Based on what? Pictures of toys???

That being said, I DO agree that this movie looks incredibly good! But it ain't based on the toys though :yay:

By the way. I just saw "A good Day to Die Hard", and my god does it blow. It's been drawn so far away from the source material which made for a great Die Hard film. While I REALLY dig DH4, it's just not a real DH film. Only the first two are... My point is that the newest DH film is pretty damn bad. Clearly rushed, and it has the weakest story. It's also the shortest! a pewny 1 hour & 37 minutes long. It disappointed in massive ways...

An opposite thing will no doubt be MOS here. I SO can't wait to see a Superman film where dedication and patience has been some of the strongest factors about it. Along with an amazing cast. It's just an incredible crew behind it all. Every post/responsibility has been handed out just right (we can thank Nolan for this). The production is massive and well cared for (unlike with the newest DH film). I've never before heard of a film that has spend this much time prepping it, AFTER the film had actually finished shooting. We're talking a whole year after principal photography has ended. This is gonna be one glorious movie. I just feel it.

I remember back in early '08, some months before Dark Knight was released. WB executives and people in the business wrote several places on the net, that Dark Knight was so_good that is was already generating Oscar buzz. Those who'd seen it were absolutely awestruck and floored by it...

I kinda wanna hear people say the same about MOS :-)

Here's the movie that will wipe the floor with MOS sadly.

I loved Inc, but I don't think University looks as great. Definitely gonna see it though.

I wonder if after Superman gets thrown into that bank vault from the first official image and in the trailer, he gets pissed off and does this, then uses the door as a weapon lol

Call me crazy, but I don't think University is going to perform that great.

Hopefully at least 2 weeks ,But I will take 4 if I could somehow miraculously get it .

Lol. How long do you think MOS can stay #1 at the Bo ?

I'm thinking until July 3 (Despicable Me) or July 12 (Pacific Rim)

At the very longest until July 26 (Wolverine)

But falling week 2 to Monsters? I don't see that myself.
