If I like Man of Steel and it makes enough for a sequel, then that's all that matters to me. Nolan's Batman series has it's critics but I and the majority love it. Dredd bombard despite it being a badass movie. That piece of crap A Good Day to Die Hard is making more money than Dredd.

So we have to wait until Man of Steel comes out to see where we stand.

Exactly.

No mention whatsoever of the acting and... saying its heavy on action. Everyone, including Snyder, has been saying that since the project's inception.

Is it the buzz good? Heard various reactions. One was good, but reserved (Seriously... some of ya'll would freak out at the criticisms if I told you) and another is "AMAZING." And I'm expecting a solid flick myself. But this was honestly nothing that anyone at any site couldn't have put up themselves and slapped on as "Exclusive."

Yes some immature people would freak out eventhough they haven't seen the film.

Early word is interesting to me because there is no guarantee that I will agree with it one way or the other.

I wasn't impressed with any of the comicbook movies last year so I'm hoping this year is more like 2002, 2004, 2008 and 2011 when it comes to Superhero flicks. I have no faith in The Wolverine and Iron Man 3 but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for MOS eventhough I haven't found one Superman movie to actually be good.

That Poni Boy guy tweeted again. He said more positive reactions to MOS test screenings. Still no one wants to address the big question about Cavill's performance.

Would it really be shocking if Cavill was only just okay acting wise?

I've been fine with him in the few things I've seen him in but it's not like he has ever shown himself to be Lawrence-****ing Oliver. He was always the question mark acting wise.

I hope for the best but if he is the next Tom Welling or Brandon Routh acting wise I can't pretend that I thought that there was no chance of that.

I wasn't questioning Cavill's performance. Poni Boy seemed to bring it up again because of the Joblo article about the great screening response.

Anyway, I believe that thing with Cavill came from TMZ a while back.

Unfortunately, I've been burned enough times with articles that say nothing meaningful that I no longer get excited for that reason.

Well I dug Hemsworth as Thor and Evans shocked me how well he did as Cap, not because I didn't think he was capable but going off FF and films like Cellular he always seemed more comedic.

Hemsworth is a so-so actor, more in the mediocre range to me. Evans is incredible as Cap, I agree.

Yeah, he's fine as Thor. He's not a bad actor, just mediocre.

But sometimes to play these Superhero roles you don't have to be some Shakespearean actor, you just need charisma, that larger-than-life feel, and serviceable acting skills. I think Cavill at least has all of those, so I'm not worried.

Reeve's peformance may be out of place in this film and Cavill's performance might be out of place in the Donner film.

Right. So cavill doesnt have to give a mind-blowing performance. But he does have to suit the role, like hemsworth did very well! If he's as good as hemsworth in thor and the avengers, then i wont be complaining.

I do worry that people will hold Superman's portrayal to a higher standard than Thor's.

What's so hard about this is I can't trust most people's thoughts on Cavill's performance. I am in the extreme minority of people who think that Bale was only okay/decent in the first two Batman movies.

So until someone can find a another mythical unicorn like myself who thinks that and has seen the film I can't really take anything involving his performance to heart... to much. And the person also has to share my less than lackluster feelings about Routh in SR.

And that's not me dissin differing opinions, some of the most fun I have on here is disagreeing with Jamie and HunterRider.

To be clear, I am still interested in what early reviews are saying, good or bad but ultimately I'm so paticular about my opinions that I can almost never know if I'm going to agree with certain things regarding films.

More often than not you need presence more than pure acting ability in these films. But then there are the rare actors who can bring both, like Daniel Craig as James Bond. What a powerhouse of a performance he delivered in Skyfall.
