MOS gonna put returns to shame when it come to action and story.Atlease we know superman will throw down in MOS and not get beat up by humans with kryptonite.

No one is saying MOS is doomed. No one is saying it is a guaranteed success either.

Well actually I'm sure there are many people that believe one or the other as well as some on the fence. At this point in time it's anyones guess. I like what I've been hearing so far though. I'm leaning towards massive hit.

I really think we will have a new trailer no later than mid April. I'm hoping we get something this week though. With MOS coming out I just can't get up for iron man, star trek, etc. I hope the marketing really amps up this week!

Yeah I'm the same, I mean IM3 and STID look fantastic but I just can't get hyped for them because of Man of Steel. I'm gonna go see them both for sure but I just wish I could skip to June right now.

This is right where I am.

I can't get hyped for Iron Man 3 because it looks like Iron Man 2. Into Darkness? I'm there, but not there like I am for Man of Steel, Pacific Rim, and Furious Six.

a shame indeed.

I think MOS is the only thing I'm really hyped for this summer. Frankly, IM3 doesn't intrigue me much either at the the moment and everything I see regarding STID makes me less hyped. I'm one of the those old school losers who like it when Star Trek makes you think. Sure, the old series got over-burdened with pretension and seriousness. I was as happy as anyone to have Abrams bring back the fun and camp that has been missing since TOS, but the fun and adventure seems to have been tossed away now too for darkness and "epicness". I'll shut up before I sound too much like the Kurosawa/TruerToTheCore of Star Trek.

and returns has the fortnightly webisodes!!!

Surely we have to get something new this week.

On Returns I really though WBs would have interfered and demanded a supervillain. I heard Singer wanted Jude Law as Zod but he turned it down so Singer decided not to use Zod.

I think the individual movies in Marvel can't garner hype anymore. It's like their going to have to be embedded together in order to have much success.

I said this was going to happen after the Avengers. After you see the team up film, why would anyone pay to see the individual films when the meat and potatoes is the Avengers films?

I'm sure they'll be fun but once again, they'll be laying bread crumbs for the big meal in 2015. Frankly, just take three years off, make us miss Stark, Rogers, Thor, and the rest of the gang and come back with a bang with the sequel to Avengers.

But, this is Marvel. They gotta keep that assembly line going.

See, I'm the exact opposite with Trek. Never watched the TOS. Maybe watched two whole episodes of Next Generation. Never watched the other spin offs. But, I've seen the 11 films. So my Trek has always been the films. My Trek has always been the militaristic aspect of the mythos. So, seeing what Abrams is doing with Into Darkness doesn't feel different to me. It feels right in line with the other films...just bigger with way more money.

Yeah, no. That is a pretty horrible idea. People are going to pay to see these films. IM3 is probably going to win the summer. Thor 2 and Winter Solider I am very hyped to see. I loved the first 2 films, and want to see them explore the characters and their own slice of the universe very much.

So with EW revealing a bunch a Wolverine pics, me thinks the summer movie preview is coming. MOS has to be on the cover and featured seeing as EW is a WB publication. Fingers crossed.

I've done my homework and looking back in EW archives, I've noticed that the summer preview comes always in April, second or third week of the month...so, if they release it online as always on fridays ( we usually get to see it earlier on thursday ), we have dates to look for: 12th or 19th :cwink:

Makes sense. I wonder, why the rush of Wolvie photos?

Well, that's not a EW decision..Studios send pics to magazines and ask them to release..Maybe Marvel and 20th century fox realized that they waited too much for marketing..or they just forgot they had a movie in post production :yay: By the way, I don't find it exciting at all, and Jackman ( that I like ) is just Hugh Jackman in those pics..I don't see Wolverine

3 looong weeks guys..The BOOM! Man of Steel will begin to fly! Covers, trailer, stills, poster(s), footage from various "con's"..!!

Waiting for IM3 and Trek to pass is stupid. Theyre weeks and weeks away. The PROPER strategy would be to blanket the market throughout the next two weeks, reminding everyone of supes and building hype. Then relax for a few weeks while those two hit, before going hard again

I agree. The thing is it even just IM3 & STID, we've also got Fast 6 & Hangover 3 in late May. Those two are bigger franchises than Trek.

So May has 4 big franchises all vying for attention, you can't wait until all that has passed.

 You must not be paying attention to IM3 at all then, there's huge hype for it. It's easily going to be the biggest IM movie yet.

Because the solo films offer new adventures for the characters that people enjoyed so much in TA, and *gasp* might actually be enjoyable in their own right..?

Seriously, what kind of question is that?

Haha - agreed. And yeah, the pics can get published whenever, it's just so close to the summer preview that he seems strange. However...

Trailer is out on Wednesday.

seems to be the logical reasoning.
