Posted this in the Lex Luthor thread but I figured I'd post it here as well since most folks seem to be in here right now anyway....

Just spoke to Mackenzie Gray via his Facebook page and he keeps saying "what", not "who" he is playing....I posted a pic of Metallo on his page and he liked it. I swear it would be something if he is playing Metallo. Or even the voice of Brainiac...

Man, that's cool! Hopefully it'll be more readily available online one day. Would love to see how JLM would've turned out.

It is indeed weird. If he were playing a person wouldn't he say who and not what? Not unless he is playing a Kryptonian and he considers Kryptonians to be whats and not whos since they are not human. But that's jumping a really big gun. I still think it's either Metallo or Brainiac and not Lex. I think people jumped the gun on the whole Lex thing to be honest

I don't know if he's really talking it up himself. It's just that AICN "broke" the "story" and then he conveniently created a Facebook page and people keep asking him about his role and he keeps telling people he "can't talk about what" he's playing....but he could be a PR hound

yeah thought crossed my mind....or he could be John Corben who is killed and then Lex gets his hands on a destroyed Kryptonian robot and Corben's body and creates METALLO!!!!

I'd say he is using the moment for PR. If you were an extra in MOS you could say "I have a role in MOS... can't talk about it though..." and ya people will hound you which gets your name out there and free press. Just my guess.

Any new actors announced get a big name character theory. There is still speculation that Tahmo is playing Metallo for example as imdb lists him as Henry Ackerdson. From Justice League: Doom (2012) (V)Henry Ackerdson: [shoots Superman] Kryptonite bullet. [turns into Metallo, opens up his metal chest] Metallo: Kryptonite heart.

Totally. I'm just saying that people are assuming the large role because he is being vague. It is in his interest to get the publicity he can, even if he has a minimal role. Gets his name out there and opens him up to possible opportunities he wouldn't get otherwise.

Maybe he's playing a robot? I don't expect the robots to have voices if there are any though.
