This film reveals that even on Krypton, young Kal-El was a special child, whose birth was cause for alarm on his home planet.

Hmmmmm...

It brings up the old question: Does Superman have to be even more special than he already is? It's an interesting idea for sure, but...

What hope? Hope of extinction?

Say that there was a time "prophesied" where the Kryptonians were to become "decadent and slothful", and that the "prince of hope" would restore Krypton's people to a place of enlightenment, reminding them of (to use my own **** from my novel :hehe: ) "empathy, honor and perseverance". I don't know.

Ironic isn't it? Everyone on Krypton is likely to have been a "hopeful dreamer" about this prophecy from the start if that's the case.lol


Maybe as a baby, Kal-el finds out about the prophecy and reacts to it like this:

Maybe Kal El rightly births a prophecy of doom into Krypton, not hope? Or perhaps both, paradoxically. A controversial child. The doom belonging to Krypton, the hope belonging to a distant primitive planet called Earth.
 
Godfrey, you're the expert..What's up with the "special double issue" and "1255/1256" thing? There will be two issues?

It's a double issue meaning there won't be a new EW for 2 weeks, hence the 2 issue numbers.
