Well that is horrible point of view. It is very much Superman. Now I don't like it very much, outside of Chole of course :hrt:, but it is still Superman.

It's "Superman" in the same way that a movie about a giant, asexual, radioactive iguana is "Godzilla".

Did you miss who wrote and produced it? Dc and WB all over it. Just because it is bad Superman, doesn't mean it isn't Superman.

Maybe the actual movie, not counting credits is 2 hours and ten or so minutes?

20 minutes of credits?

Movie could be like 2 hours and 15 minutes ("around 10")....if they do a "title" sequence (which I'm doubting), that's about what, 3 min at the beginning, then ten minutes at the end...so it's kiiiinda possible. Kinda.

But I honestly think AMC's just got the runtime wrong here.

As long as its around the 2 hour 30 minute mark I'll be satisfied.

That's too long, 2 to 2:10 is for the most part just right, especially for a movie like this as opposed to a heavier, slower-moving drama-epic. I think that quite a few movies try to shoehorn too much stuff in that puts them in a sort of 'neither/nor' place at 2-1/2-ish.

So what? I don't care if they got Zombie Siegel and Shuster to make it, it doesn't make it "Superman." You can't take a character, who's primary trait is his strength of...well, character, and turn him into a guy who, even at the end of the series (when he becomes Superman in the dumbest way I could have possibly conceived), is still a whiny, mopey little nothing. Tom Welling's Clark Kent couldn't inspire a ball to roll.

I sometimes wonder how different the show would have been if Jensen Ackles had got the part of Clark.

Lets say it was 2 hours and 30 minutes as opposed to 2 hours and 10,
What is supposed to be in that extra 20 minutes that makes MOS a beter movie ?

the marketing for this movie sucks. they should've done a superbowl spot....LOL!!!

I don't mind a shorter movie. Hopefully that will mean less time dedicated to his childhood. I want to delve into the main plot as quickly as possible.

I couldn't possibly say whether a runtime is appropriate or not without having seen the film. With the amount of Kryptonian mythology they seem to be building into this, I could see it needing a little extra time to establish everything properly. We'll see. A leaner movie could work too. I'll only know for sure how I feel about the runtime after I see the movie.

In my cinema it says 148 minutes (I'm from Colombia)

A short movie is somewhere in the 75-90 min range...2-2:15 is normal, 2:30 is getting pretty long/excessive. It'd be refreshing if these would trend back towards being a tidy 2hr-ish rather than longer.

did we get official confirmation that the runtime was exactly 130 minutes, or just around 130 minutes?

also, do those runtimes posted by the cinemas also include the trailers before the movie?

It does appear that he is hovering in one the scenes where he is facing the military

Can someone point me in the direction of this please? I don't need anyone to find it for me (unless it's handy), I'm not lazy and I know where to see all the trailers and find all the pics, etc. I'm just not getting this reference so a reminder would be nice.

Thanks in advance.
