You are reading too much into his words. He was just quickly saying something about the film, he wasn't giving a full detailed review.

I swear some people worry about any and everything. Even if he said he didn't like it that doesn't mean you want. Personally I don't care what Lee or anyother comicbook writer or artist thinks about any film.

It's neat to get other opinions but it doesn't tell me what I'm going to think.
It was a lesson really .
I am used to calling it like I see it ,
Not always the wisest practice on the internet .

Yeah, most people involved with the film, WB, or DC comics will have high praises for MOS. That's the way it usually goes. The opinion I'm most interested in, when I see the movie, will be my own. :yay:
An excellent point , and one that I will remember for the future.

I hate captain planet with the heat of a thousand suns. even when it was new I thought it was lame. waaaay to preachy.

Erm...no, the only person that should play Captain Planet is Don Cheadle.

To be honest I don't read these movie forums very often so I just wanna ask: Jor-El will be in the final battle of MoS too?

Is this film supposed to start with Clarke grown and flash back to Krypton and his childhood the way Batman Begins did with Bruce's story? The layout of the score seems to indicate this, but I was wondering if it was confirmed.

If the list is in order, then I would say yes, we'll get tons of flashbacks throughout the movie.

Soundtrack track order is not in plot order.

After thinking about, I don't think Flyby is the only cancelled film MOS is taking little tidbits from, such as the kryptonian armor; I think it's also taking little tidbits from Superman Lives as well. The shot where the Fortress doors open and Superman appears; that reminds of Kevin Smith's story of Jon Peters wanting a King Kong moment with doors opening and the spider is revealed: same thing, but with something else, or in this case someone, better. The other is the fact that Clark learns of his kryptonian origins later in life (around or at his age of 30?), which is something from Bryne's MOS, but was the plot for Superman Lives too.

Might be a coincidence, but it caught my eye, y'know

I agree about Lee.
If Lee saw SR before release, it would be interesting to track down his comments .
I DO think the action is important.
I would have felt better if Lee had at least mentioned perfomances .
I want great action scenes .
But, I want the whole package too.

You should not care either way, they're trying to sell the movie (and more comics), remember what Geoff Johns said about the "fantastic" Green Lantern movie:

“The movie looks fantastic. I’m heading back down to New Orleans in a few weeks, but I just watched the Abin Sur/Hal Jordan dailies, and it’s amazing seeing that ring passed to Hal in live action. Abin Sur looks kick-ass.

They did such a great job. They’ve got Grant [Major] as a production designer. He’s from “Lord of the Rings,” and the visuals on this film are nothing like you could imagine. It’s definitely a Green Lantern fan’s dream. For me, it’s kind of insane to see this stuff come to life.

And Ryan Reynolds is a perfect Hal Jordan. He brings a lot of humor to it, but he also has the humanity that Hal has. And a little bit of the arrogance, so it’s a great match.”

:whatever:

Is wiser to wait for the first wave of reviews to have an idea, till then, patience my padawan! :word:

Mysteryman...it's NOT a review, he's a DC employee, he is shilling the movie and promoting it by saying a few choice words on what he thinks will resonate the most with the majority of the potential audience. For all we know the action could be terrible let alone the performances it's just pointless to be disappointed that he chose to speak on the action alone.

But to be fair, Geoff Johns probably did think it was good. :hehe:

The NBA game starts in two and a half hours. Why?

I doubt it. Maybe in the Western and Eastern finals. Or in the finals. Who knows though.
