Urggh,' Muricans. Our dollars are par and normal tickets (without 3d or IMAX) in Canada are $12 unless you go to a really crappy, small old theater.
I think a long running time really suits origin movies, because the origin itself obviously needs quite a bit of screen time, especially Superman's whose origins span something like a 25/30 year period. Even Superman: The Movie spent a lot of time on the origin and that still left the Krypton and Smallville portions as relatively short. Then there's the actual superhero action. No studio is going to bank on an origin-only movie, so they're going to want to include a feature length film's worth of a superhero/supervillain plot as well. So it's almost like having two movies in one.
I have seen that. Not Laurence Fishburne, but a non-white Lincoln.
As to your exhibit, obviously an opinion.
And your point is? My definition of "opinion:" the endorsement of a proposition as fact (i.e. as truth). If you disagree with that definition, then fine; but the bottom line is that herolee10 was asserting as a truth that Buller is not Caucasian. That's exactly the type of thing I take issue with.yep, as she said that I was like, you are hot, and I am not. so does that make us un-realistic couple?! anyway, 143 minutes means no soda for me! buy the drink and drink it after as I sit through the credits of what I hope is an Amazing Movie and hear some Awesome Zimmer goodness! It's actually pretty common for good looking women to date less attractive guys. Crowe's not a bad looking dude though. He actually looks a bit like Zurer's real-life husband.
Jus Curious, where do you live in Ontario?

There's a major difference between saying, "Rebecca Buller is not Caucasion" versus "Rebecca Buller doesn't seem Caucasion to me."
We don't know the truth of the first statement, but the second statement is your own personal perception, which I cannot argue against without being you.
I would agree with those lol. Actually, you can add all of Michael Bay's movies since The Rock of movies that didn't need to be as long as they were.
t:"I would agree with this. Re-watching Superman: The Movie the other day, I was surprised how short the Smallville segments were. Wish more origin movies had somewhat longer lengths, one in particular would've been Thor. It felt way too short, imo.
I honestly didnt think that anyone would take my previous post so seriously in such an offensive way. If Ive offended you with my post, I do apologize about it. I should have probably better worded my previous post regarding Bullers ethnic background in my offhand assumption that she didnt appear to be Caucasian at all in regards to her potentially being Jimmys sister (or relative) if he were to appear in the same character-like profile that weve seen of him in past interpretations.
I'm of course hoping for the latter. And it's NOT just for the sake of it being long (like the ******** movies, which all would've been better off with a 1:30 hour running time, with the little they actually had to say!). It's because MOS really does seem to have to cover a_lot! Even more so than Batman Begins... I so pray that this film won't suffer from obviously rushed parts. I HATE that!

t: Have a nice day.London. Get over to Canada much?
And now we are getting extended versions of the Hobbit.I don't think The Hobbit was PJ's fault. WB just looked at how popular the LOTR EE's were with fans and said "Just put it ALL in! It'll be great!t:"

And now we are getting extended versions of the Hobbit.![]()
Really?!?!

It was my University's drama department and Lincoln was Hispanic.A black Lincoln? A relatively high-budget production? Was it a historical retelling of his abolishment of slavery? And the coup de grâce: did it work?
And even if it happened once, that doesn't mean it's a widely accepted practice. My point still stands: The Indiana Repertory Theatre cast Buller as Anne Frank, a Jewish girl, because, among other reasons, they thought she looked satisfyingly similar to Anne Frank. And I agree; to me, she looks like a Jewish girl.
At any rate, even Fishburne as Lincoln is not the most accurate metaphor. Try this: Fishburne, without any make-up, protraying Hitler in a serious retelling of The Diary of Anne Frank.

You can add the last 2 batman films to that list(one needed an editor on the first act, the other needed to simply cut the two face segment all together). Pretty much all Peter Jacksons films and Verbinksi movies...long long long.
Just saw the walmart Man of Steel ad for the first time on TV.
The only reason TDKR pacing lags is because it is missing stuff. It because a jumble at points, instead of a flowing film. Add another 20-30 mins to the whole thing, and it would actually flow a lot better. Still ove it though.I understand your criticisms of TDK and TDKR, but, for me, those are two of the best parts of those movies. The first act of TDKR is the only part where I feel like the story is fleshed-out like it should be. Yes, the pacing does drag, but in my opinion, it is better than the rest of the film where things felt incomplete, rushed and cut to hell. In regards to TDK, while the pacing of the third act is wack and it fills like the film has too endings, the climax is nowhere nearly half as awesome without the Two-Face twist. It is the culmination of the film's themes and is a large part of what makes Heath's Joker so perfect. Sure, he lost the social experiment with the ferries and the fight in the building, but he poisoned Batman's victory so perfectly by corrupting Dent.

Yep, stupid! would have been better, maybe to put at least one or two seconds of footage perhaps. that wouldn't even save it!same here...it sucks. It's SOOOOOO stupid

herolee10 was asserting his opinion. That is all.

What point? I think it is pretty obvious. People think she looks of mixed race. That isn't hard to understand. And I'm sure it was a lot easier for him to pass as Lincoln than it would be for Laurence Fishburne.
I'm still waiting for your point. I don't think it'll ever come.
