Maybe they should just build up to the JL movie with Goyer written comics.
Would'nt we all? but its a great small scene, really shows something we havnt seen in a movie before
I wouldn't expect so. Whilst in chains he says "you think your son is safe? I WILL FIND HIM!". So unless he says it to Lara, Jor-El is still alive for that bit.
He's talking to a woman so it's probably Lara. Zod likely tries to stop Jor-El from sending his son off world forcing a showdown between the 2. Jor-El buys enough time for Kal to escape but at the cost of his own life but Zod and his followers are apprehended for Jor-El's murder and possible insurrection. At least thats how it looks to me.
I'm beginning to think though, with all this talk of genetically engineered and created Kryptonians and Jor-El being a scientist and anticipating Krypton's destruction, could of created and engineered a copy or clone of himself that is cryosleeping in the scout ship? Just an idea if it's not a hologram.
For what it's worth, when I saw Star Trek last night and the new trailer came on, I heard a few people in the audience (myself included) going "Yes!" and "Oooh!" Granted, it was only a few of us, but we unfortunately got stuck in the smallest, crappiest theater at the Cineplex.
´´You can save them, you can save all of them``
Now Supes is sad because he has to leave his Dad to save others
It's clearly all part of the same scene. And the reason why Lara is alone in those Krypton shots. #teamJorElLives
That's actually a damn good idea.
Give everyone in the movie a little prequel story. Not necessarily their origin (or at least full origin) but something to lay the foundation for their role in the film.
I'm putting these MacKenzie Gray as Lex things to rest. I bet he is one of these Kryptonians.
I'm officially on #teamJorElLives now.
Cause he'd have powers right? Well, that will all be explained in the movie dude! t: Maybe Zod gravely injured Jor-El who got (with the help of Lara) to his own escape pod which kept him alive but couldn't heal him. So he's on earth but his cells are too damaged to absorb yellow sunlight (or can't so quickly) or something and he's dying. OR Zod abducted Jor-El and demanded Kal-El in return but Kal is already gone so Lara had Zod arrested.
To stop rambling I'll just say, look I don't know, all I know is that Rus-El is talking to Kal in the flesh and Lara is alone for Zod's imprisonment and what looks like the destruction of Krypton. Why or how that is we'll see soon.
Either way it doesn't make a huge difference to me. The more Crowe the better.
Since I've acquired the PSD (layered version) of the new poster, I decided to make what I think the Blu-ray cover will look like. Let me know what ye think.
Welcome to the WINNING team! I'm sure others will join us in the sun too.
That's what I thought; if he's alive, why is he not helping him?
The comic seems to give clues that Jor-El might grow in the Fortress from an embryo due to the Growth Codex....Remember the casting sheets?
Is the comic online?
Maybe Zod thinks he killed Jor El on Krypton or he fakes his death or something....? Or we think he died on Krypton but SURPRISE! He's alive on earth.
I do hope he dies on Krypton though.
Death To Jor-el!! DEEEEEEATH!!! DEEEEEEATTHH!!
I genuinely dislike this. It also thematically defeats the purpose of Krypton exploding. I mean, what's the point if his dad survives...and hasn't aged?
I don't think Jor-El lives. I can't see a reason why he would leave his wife to die on a doomed planet AND allow his son to be raised by strangers. If so, he wins the Deadbeat Dead of the Decade award and Montell Williams should kick his ass.
I think those scenes are either some sort of a dream sequence, or he's communicating with him in some other way; through time, like in Birthright.
Ooooh okay, that'd be awesome. So he'd be A.I. though, right? And does Jor El look older in any of the Fortress shots to you guys than the Krypton shots?
It is via Vudu if you bought a Walmart ticket today.
The comic shows the great "Krypton expansion" with thousands of scout ships leaving Krypton to explore the galaxy and colonize worlds. They use a "Growth Codex" on embryos to create Kryptonians to help with terraforming worlds.
The casting call sheet that leaked detailed a scene of Jor-El swimming to retrieve the Codex.
It looks like the Kryptonian hologram is somewhat immersive that's why it looks like Superman is in a real scene.
All I can say is.. SNARE BEAST! SNARE BEAST!
Speaking of which, do you think the below image within the spoiler tag is
