I didn't like TASM at all as a film and think it betrays everything I like about Spider-Man. Read Devin Faraci's review on Badass Digest to see 90% of my thoughts about the film. I'd rather watch GL a million times over than ever see that film again. I'll stick to the Raimi films thankyou very much.

Moving on...

When do you guys think that the actors will start going on talk shows?

I guess that one would qualify, but I feel like the detractors on it are at least lot more vocal than the ones in '08 were.
TDK is an incredible film. You can criticize it if you must, but it doesn't really hold up.

Also think Skyfall applies.

No offense but I don't care if a movie has very few detractors as long as I like it. I couldn't care less about a consensus.

I didn't love Avengers but I'm not butt hurt that most did.

Of course. We were just discussing big event films that have had more of a consensus of love from the fan community, as opposed to a split.

I have seen a few people kill Casino Royale and Skyfall in the past. Every film has its crazies. :cwink:

^ Lovin' that suit. Is it bad that one of the reasons I'm becoming a Superman fan is because of the texture of MOS's suit? Haha

Edit : the suit turned me onto the movie, turned me to the character.

The trunkless look is certainly working out better than I thought it would.

The suit looks fantastic in that pic. Really "pops."

I'd like to see a cameo like this...but in color of course...

or they could animate this as the two old guys watch the Kryptonians land on Earth...

I actually prefer it. I know why a lot of people would be angry. But I think them doing the trunkless thing is a bit of a testament to what they wanna go for in terms of aesthetics/feel.

I understand the disapproval of Casino Royale and Skyfall from certain audiences slightly more I do the TDK trilogy, considering Bond has carved out an audience based solely on it's silly fun nature as opposed to it's darker origins in romanticized espionage. I personally think the bond films have never been better than those two and I'm a massive fan of his cinematic endeavors from OHMSS and FRWL all the way to sillier stuff like Moonraker and AWTAK.

Would make sense, plus the premier in London is the 12th right? something like that.

Ok, we Have to get a new spot tonight, right? has it been 4 days since spot 5 aired Sunday Night? Lots more finales tonight and more NBA playoff games (ESPN game will have the MOS tie-in playoff spot as it is for ESPN/ABC games only)

*crosses fingers* heck I will take old ones cuz I just like seeing the spots air (I will be watching some shows tonight before the late NBA game) if we get something, I will try to upload it.

Jeez, I just find that incredibly hard to believe, coming from anyone. I know all art us subjective but...betrays everything you like about Spider-man? Would rather watch GL a million times over than watch TASM again? It's one thing to prefer the Raimi films (which many people do), but I've never heard anyone say anything like that...especially when you're comparing it to trash like Green Lantern.

It is kinda funny when people get hyperbolic like that.

I'm hoping to see Cavill talk it up over here in England. Showing the casual audience here that Superman is played by a Brit could definitely drum up some interest.

I don't think GL is horrible, just a crushingly mediocre mess. So nah, there is no hyperbole here, you'd know if I was engaging in that because unlike other fans I'd admit it.

I am going to go with you care about one character and really don't care all that much for the other. That and you are a fan of a certain set of films.
