The ship crashes in a field. We've seen production pictures from long ago.

I wish all those interviews were on YouTube! I'm on my phone right now!

They always found him in a field. Unless the ship crashes into the barn....the way I took it is as though it landed there intentionally. Cue forced Christ analogy...

For the most part (and through production images) the ship crashes into the barn. I don't think it should be seen as a forced Christ analogy (Superman is probably the most Christ-like superhero we have), and I always interpreted it as a play on the theme of free will and destiny that's so prevalent throughout the trailers and most significantly, through Jor-El and Jonathan Kent...where Kal-El had just as much of a chance to be with either a loving and caring family or an abusive one.

....100/100...what ****, this movie will bomb :funny: .....you know I'm willing to bet there are actually going to be people who see that rating and actually say that :p

It really doesn't mean much...it's likely one critic, it will go down.

I literally jut teared up at how perfect this movie looks. It is too good to be true.

Oooh if that is true, and it's an accident that it crashed into the barn and Jor El DIDN'T intend on it finding the Kents, then that is fantastic. I like that a lot. Big smile right now. :woot: lol

I don't know how good the reviews are going to be but I suspect most will be positive. I don't know how much stock to put in reviews anyhow because some days I agree and some days I don't.

I think I'm going to try to see it at the Brenden IMAX in Las Vegas. Will be there for a conference on Thursday/Friday of Superman's opening weekend and I'll be in the city until Sunday morning.

I just discovered that the Brenden IMAX will be showing it in 2D three times per day. They have a message on their website that they were the only theater in Vegas that was able to present TDKR in proper 70mm IMAX, so I hope this means it is a legit IMAX screen and not one of those crappy LieMAX sized screens.

^ His facebook hinted that he might have forgotten whether it was okay to say whether or not to say he saw the movie :D

What I find most interesting is that the blue flash that Jor-El and Zod see is not the Phantom Zone, but rather:

The flaming backside of Kal-El's rocket ship, you see this in the 13min publicity special. I'll try to screengrab for those who don't see it.

Here are the screengrabs for those interested:
