Cavill will be 40 by the time they're ready for a legit well planned jla movie. Lol.

Indeed. Like others said, Marvel didn't go from Iron Man 1 to the Avengers right away. They waited 4 years to release "The Avengers" after the release of Iron Man 1, while releasing other properties in the meantime.

yes but just because thats the way Marvel did it doesn't mean thats the only way to do it.

If they want to make it work they'll have to have a few films come out the same year.

Mos2 and batman - 2015
Wonder Woman - 2016
Jla - 2017

Yea I see nothing wrong with an older superman. Plus he won't look 40 if they don't want him to...

RDJ was in his 40s, Mark Ruffalo was also in his forties, as is Renner. And Sam Jackson was in his 60s. So I don't mind that. I especially like the "mature look" he tends to have in JLA comics.

But that's more of a commentary on the amount of time it will take :)

I doubt the things you mentioned would occur even if JL were to release in 2015. That's just my perception.

With that said, I don't see JL making less than a billion.

Well not too beat a dead horse, or in this case quote, but: “No Script, No Director, and No Cast”.

Man of Steel is only now coming out after 3 years since Snyder was announced to helm this film. We need time to cast, get the right story in tact and even though Snyder doesn’t have a say in what Warner Bros. ends up doing at the end, I’m pretty confident that when he said that Warner Bros. is nowhere near being ready to make a JLA film, he was telling the truth.

And you do realize on how much time a film of this scale needs in post right? And that's not even including the time that it takes to film the project, the casting process, and the time that they need to get the story done right. I'm curious, and I mean no disrespect from saying this, but why are you in such a rush to see a JLA film that most people here seemingly agree will come out somewhat halfassed if released in 2015?

That could just mean they're gonna rush it :csad:

From what we've heard, along with using some logic as well, it doesn't seem like we have to worry about that at the moment. If MOS turns out to be a success, it's very likely that Warner Bros. will pursue an direct sequel to that while probably getting the necessary people to start planning out their DC films division so that they can line it all up together for one big ensemble film in the future.

Dude, your sig should be the New England Patriots-Celtics-Red Sox
I respect Patriots because I love how they've been running themselves for a while, Bleh celtics, and Red Sox...I'll take my Giants lol.

Lol yep I'm down for it too it's just a long time for ME to wait lol.

WB is not stupid if MOS is a hit they will be making a sequel to their hit movie, not a spin-off. Bank on it. I expect 2016 though.

Does anyone think it might come out July 2015. Sounds like a tight time line, but remember this movie was pushed back 6 months from it's original 2012 release date, and they finished shooting it what now seems like an eternity ago. A lot of the groundwork (Superman's costume etc) has already been taken care of, and perhaps Goyer has already been working on the script. We aren't privvy to everything WB does behind the scenes, and for all we know they could be in early pre production for the sequel. If MOS has a big OW, I bet we'll find out pretty quickly what WB plans are.

Plus, it's easier to believe that superman could be one of the leaders of the JL, which is comprised of several heroes, if he's had some years of experience under his own belt.

here's the thing...we don't know what's being done on this movie (JL) so far... WB could be using this time to get someone on a JL script...waiting to see how this is gonna go...we don't know about the behind the scenes work.

I like your thinking. I can't wait for a new Batman. A fresh take will be fun to see. I hope they go with someone around the same age as Cavill. I want to see that classic relationship we always saw in the cartoons :woot:

Yep. Plus his voice will get deeper. And while I'm not fond of smoking, that will probably advance it :/

Snyder's comment from his recent video interview seems to unofficially confirm that Warner Bros. really has no immediate things going on right now for the JLA film.

wouldnt a neophyte Superman add to the tension of the team...WW thinks she should lead, Batman thinks he should lead and it pulls the team apart but they realize that Superman should lead and a team is forged going into act 3.
