More and more I'm feeling like we're probably dodging a huge bullet with this delay.

UPDATE (2/12/14): "Doctor Detroit" is back with an update on the story below...

"According to my source, the filming that is going on in LA that GM is involved with is actually for 'Tomorrowland', NOT 'Batman vs. Superman'. Furthermore, my source said the Batmobile design I originally told you about a few months ago has, in fact, been scrapped altogether because WB was dissatisfied with it (I'm assuming as a result of the Affleck/Terrio takeover), and that GM is no longer involved in its design. No word on whether or not GM will be involved in the build process.
Disinformation? Maybe. But jives with what I was told around the time Terrio took over. Time will tell what is fact and what is fiction."

Once again, Jett is like a homeless guy in Times Square yelling Jesus prophecies from on top of a milk crate. Please, stop giving them your spare change and attention.

Huh. Interesting.

So do you not see any other movies that don't have Batman in it? Do you not watch any of the Marvel movies? You should look at Man of Steel as just another movie, not as "I only like Batman so there's no chance I'll like Superman". Who knows, you might winding up liking it or at least enjoying it to a certain extent?

Superman just never appealed to me I love other movies (Bond Highlander Jaws etc) I mean I Figure if I love Batman vs Superman I will go back and see Man of Steel...

The Trailers for Man of Steel kind of made me go Meh... And now that everyone is split down the middle I might just rent it at some point.

pretty much describes all the rumor mongers

And yet, all of this outright wrongness won't stop people from believing the next absurd rumor El Maybe and Jett come up with.

I have a feeling the Suit will be released on a Friday.

That's what I don't understand. Is the right-now-give-me-i-need-it desire for news that bad that people will believe freaking anything at all? No wonder the ent news industry is screwed up

So Jett's latest scoop is "Hey, I might have been wrong about my initial scoop, time to cover my ass so that I can pretend to be right about ANY information/design that is released"?

Wow.

Hey people I may or may not be right but my sources say that Batman vs Superman may come out this friday. Of course I may be wrong but since I decided not to verify my information and just put this out there so people can get happy and freak out...so what the hey.

Batman on Film needs the hits.

There's really no right approach to the scoop game from a fan perspective. You really can either ignore it entirely and just wait for official information, or use the "scoops" as fodder for discussion.

Considering the growing popularity of AMC Movie Talk, it's pretty clear that the appetite for discussing movie rumors is at an all time high.

"Hey guys I know some stuff from my sources and stuff but I can't tell you and stuff. When it's officially announced and stuff then I'll let you know I knew about it and stuff but couldn't tell you and stuff. Also.. I know stuff."

actually I think those are the best choices...I don't listen to anything unless it comes from an official source...and it gives something to talk about instead of the same things over and over again

And everyone does it, that's why I don't see the point it always complaining about the scoops. Everyone bashed El Mayimbe for his "Thug Luthor" scoop, but it still fueled pages and pages of discussion and manips.

Everyone is here to speculate and gossip. If I wanted to completely tune out rumors I certainly wouldn't be on this message board.

Eh, not everyone does it. Some are MUCH more ready and willing to believe silly rumors than others.

Like roach, I really don't believe a rumor until it comes from a legitimate source, is backed by evidence, or at least seems somewhat reasonable based on information I already know. One thing I like about the SHH main page is that they usually refrain from just posting up any and all rumors that come our way. Usually, once something reaches the SHH main page, I'll know it has at least some basis in reality.

Also, there's a difference between a site-runner posting a rumor that he honestly believes might be true based on credible information he's been given...and what El Mayimbe does. I have little respect for an attention ****e who will hype up a "scoop" ("HUGE DC scoop coming later tonight!") only to post something completely unsubstantiated with little to no basis in reality, or a scoop that's not huge at all. I mean, Latino Review has been churning out "scoops" for BvS on a regular basis. None of them have been true and some have been flat our wrong. So at a certain point, it becomes a lot less fun reading rumors that are more than likely completely false than reading rumors that might be on to something.

A lot of these people like Jett, El Mayimbe, and others claim to have "inside sources" that they don't really have, and their main goal is to bring hits to their site any way they can, hence the attention-****ing. I can't help but feel a bit sour towards people like that. Yes, they give us something to talk about sometimes, but as I said, it's a lot less fun when you're know you're talking about something that will never happen. Some posters here are definitely more gullible than others, though, and will blindly buy into almost anything they read, so they are the ones who have the most fun with all the misinformation that we are constantly served by these rumor sites.

There is a lot of noise when it comes to comic book movies because anyone can make a website...make up some news and get people to believe it aka cosmicbooknews

Once again, Terrio coming on board would have nothing to do with the design aspect of the film.

I wish these bloggers would apply human logic every once in a while.

Which is what happens when you have an industry that has no authority to answer to. There's little motivation to vet false info, wrong info, outlandish info or outright lies when it doesn't affect you if you're wrong.

the problem with these bloggers is they have very little film experience/knowledge

Circle gets the square. Movie journalists/bloggers are as prevalent as "producers" in LA.

These bloggers also have very little experience in the film industry.

There was an incident recently where one of the bloggers got some 'news' and then told everyone that they had news and when the time came to tell the news he didn't because he was taking time to verify the news.
When this happened I thought about starting up a legitimate scoop site that was governed but the old rules of journalism...the news is important not the reporters and that opinion and conjecture would be kept off the website.

So no one else ****in' their pants at the tweet of getting the Bat and Wonder suit soon?

If I like the suits, my reaction will be like this (bodily speaking, of course)[YT]nkEvXQu5ZYQ[/YT]

If not, it will be like this [YT]WWaLxFIVX1s[/YT]
