Hmm I would have guessed late 40's to early 50's from the spy pics.

Mid forties is still young enough to be ass kicking I suppose. I mean he won't be as fast or strong as he was in his prime and realistically his knees are probably shot, but the Batman at 45 should still be pretty formidable.

See the thing is, they wouldn't really need to grey Bruce's hair to portray a mid 40 year old, so I'm thinking (and this is partially due to me rewatching Watchmen last night) they are going to give us some flashbacks to early days Batman, and possibly (hopefully) some Batman and Robin action!

I think mid forties is all I need to hear. No need to put an exact age on things. I'm assuming Superman will be in his mid to late thirties, and Batman is in his mid forties. That's fine by me.

I'm not sure how they're going to handle WW's age. In The New 52 I think Wonder Woman is 23, Superman is around 30, and Batman is close to 32.

I going to guess they are playing their own ages on this one.

Yea, I'm just gonna assume they're all their real age. Hahaha.

Whats the consensus on here, over Robin? Do people want to even Robin make an appearance? or would they like the rumour to be true that this is a Batman that has lost a jason todd? Is this a world where nightwing is about?

I feel like any Robin appearances makes no sense if they aren't going to capitalize on it.

I don't think Dick Grayson or any Robin needs to make an appearance, and I don't think they need to show any flashbacks either. If they're going to have Dick Grayson/Robins exist in this universe, I think a Dick Grayson name drop or an old beaten Robin suit easter egg would suffice.

Based on this being a "crusty old Batman", I'd say it has something to do with Jason's death and the Joker. Which could also be the reason for the supposed fallout with Nightwing.

There's a pretty good fan theory going around about how Batman actually murdered the Joker (or was tricked into believing he did) after Jason's death. Batman loses his grip and the Joker "wins", which is how things deteriorated.

There is plenty of potential in using the idea of Robin in order to amplify the emotional personal need to get a justice league in Bruce Wayne's life. It only makes sense to portray Bruce has a man who has had anything resembling family (apart from Alfred) snatched away from him, first his parents, then Jason, also add the fact that Dick abandoned him and went out on his own...that would create one hell of a bitter man adamant on not teaming or trusting anyone, until something or someone came along to change that.

I like this....And that someone that changes his mind? I would want it to be Superman. #Bromance.

A quick 2 minute scene of Robin being a badass would significantly help Robin's public reception. Obviously most of us here have seen the incarnations where he is a better character but everyone I know who sin't exactly into film and comics still perceive Robin as a very campy character. A quick glimpse of a Snyderised version would do wonders if they then announce a Batman/Robin movie as people wont be spending two years going "ROBIN???THE GUY WHU RU1NED BAtman LAST TYME!" as they would already have seen him.

The only issue would be having such a scene and it not feeling natural.

Chip Chipperson made an awesome Batfleck timeline a couple days ago that had Jason's death just a year or so before the events of MOS, leading Bruce to become the "crusty" Batman we're getting. I'd be fine with that.
