He's seeking his advice on Batman, not Clark Kent/Superman.

He is the man who pretty much created the modern batman we now know, so on that aspect it would make a lot of sense to consult him.

Superman's identity and personality were already established in the last film I doubt there needs to be much consultation needed?

Still not helpful.

Frank Miller came up with an idea for Batman he hasn't been in touch with for like 20 years.

Since then Batman has been written far better. See Grant Morrison.

Well, in S:TM, Superman's real stupid decision to save Hackensack leads to way more deaths than if he had stopped the California bound missile first.

Oh yeah and all that because he never lies, bit stupid really, he should have lied and he would never have had to turn back time.

Maybe he's seeking help because it wasnt Snyders idea in the first place to have Batman in the next film.

Is it just me or are there been way too many new threads made in the Superman Batman page on here?

Hey a fellow Morrison fan. :awesome::up: Didn't think there was much of those on the Hype.

Morrison loves The Dark Knight Returns too. He was gushing about it on Kevin Smith's podcast not too long ago.

I mean it's no surprise he loves it, since he views every take on Batman as valid in some way.

It's getting really annoying lol

Oh the burden of omniscience. Just promise us all you'll use your power for good... AND NOT EVIL! (Like the fruits of the Devil. :woot:)

Arguably you still have 3. Batman, Superman and Lois. Lois is just that major and iconic. For example, she was created before Batman.

I'd agree if Lois wasn't the afterthought she was in MoS.

I also love TDKRt, and I still despise the thought of Miller being an advisor in this one.

As far as Batman is concerned, in my view Morrison and Nolan are Gods, and Scott Snyder is the Devil.
Ehh..I think you are bit too harsh with Snyder. Even after the dissapointing Owls crossover and the unticlimactic DOTF he is still wrote the pretty amazing Black Mirror.

My problem with Snyder is that he shoves his crossovers in almost all the other Bat-titles. I can't get into a Nightwing story or a Red Hood one without being interupted by either Court or DOTF and at least those had some good parts Year Zero is just lame, uninteresting and totally disrespectful, IMO of course.

I'd argue that she spent a lot of time in the narrative, and was a plucky, spirited, and sympathetic character. I personally think she's one of the better female supporting figures in a superhero adaptation (which is probably a sad thing).

But yes, the film didn't devote the time to really understand her as a PERSON. It's like "she's Lois" "she's cool" "I'm done."

The sequel will have to flesh her out more, and despite what someone says, not showing a love interest onscreen wouldn't make people think that Batman's gay.

If this is a older Batman that we're getting, I wouldn't mind getting hints or nods from batman on how he's already encountered and had troubled relationships with the likes of his version of Selina, Talia, or any femme fatale from his mythology, thus one of the many reasons why he avoids being in a relationship these days.lol

Batman on Film have simply wrote "Heads up.." on Facebook

:hmm

Batman casting? Two-Face?

I LIKE TDKR, though I wish I cut out its most disconcerting bits, abridge the second half, and replace Superman with an epic super-villain.

And cut Selina out entirely.

I grew up on Morrison's batman. It's probably the reason I detest Nolan's batman as violently as I do. Morrison may have taken the batgod idea further than most writers in this era.

Scott Snyder not the devil, he's the man.

To be honest, I think the book could have end with him taking down the Joker and then the finale been Batman against the Police.

I do think they could have used someone other than Superman in his role but it wouldn't have had the same impact.
