All Things Wonder Woman: An Open Discussion - - - Part 12

In terms of visuals (including the sfx and cgi), trailer 2 looked fine. And though Gadot is no Meryl Streep, she seemed aptly confident and stalwart in her line delivery. Granted, some of those lines were old-school “superhero-y.” But as it turns out, Wonder Woman is a superhero. :word:

The shot of her diving off the cliff and into the water..:hrt:

Bloody hell, the colors. The vibrant colors. :hmr:

Loved the swan dive and bullet reflecting. Swinging on a jump line while aiming/firing an arrow is one of the most ridiculously striking, but yet still awesome things I've seen employed in combat on film.:exp:

Liked it more than the first trailer... and I ****ing loved that thing.

Liked the first trailer more but this one is pretty great too, Gal and Chris have nice chemistry together

Positives: The visuals

Negatives: Gal's wooden acting

Overall, considering DC's track record of trailers vs actual film, I really got nothing to say until the movie comes out.

The little kick at the end and Candy's karate hands killed me. :funny:

Btw in that shot where you see the Amazonians charging on their horses, I like the way Antiope is riding. Her posture with the clenched fists, very powerful and elegant. It's just a small detail but it really caught my eye.

The cinematography looks gorgeous! I liked Gadot on BvS, but god, she's not a great actress. She looks the part, but I'm a little worried. The movie itself looks promising enough! WB still has plenty of time to **** this up, so I'm praying they will leave the movie alone.

If Chris Hemsworth can be pardoned for his acting contributions I suspect Gadot can be given the same lenience.

Thoroughly enjoyed the trailer. Gal seems solid in her role and the film is visually stunning.

I thought Gal's acting was fine in BvS. Don't see how she's gonna regress from that.

Brother of Harry-Gregson Williams ? Interesting pick.

All i will say is i hope that Scarlet Witch doesn't get her own movie :o

There's a lot of average acting in the CBM sphere, I'm not sure why so many actors get a pass on it but in Gadot's case it's going to break the movie.

And I'd say she's a bit of a mixed bag, some of her delivery is a little bland, but then she's had a number of lines that were quite endearing, or comical, or imposing, or whatever she needed to be in that instance.

Well, Snyder does this as well... so she's sadly just following the cart off of the cliff.

Not to mention that we don't know how the production of the film went. Maybe Patti used slow-mo shots, because she was told to, or maybe she's not really great at filming action sequences, so she used slow-mo to get around those limitations. Will see!

Hilarious how some people expect Gal Gadot to be female Daniel Day Lewis so she can play Wonder Woman.

From what we can see here, she's fine. Not particularly bad or great, just fine. Just like quite a few other actors who are now playing big roles in these movies.
