Yeah lol ... we'll see how the flashback structure goes with the DCEU's remarkable reputation in editing/post production.

the narrative structure of WW is basically the same as that of one of the biggest boxoffice hits of all time...Titanic.

and reshoot is common practice in filmmaking, from indie endeavor to tentpole studio productions. but hey, it's also common practice that people will jump at any news to paint a negative DC picture.

Captain America: The First Avenger could easily have been a flashback too if they bookended it with him waking up in that fake 1940s set.

WW has already appeared in the present in BvS, so since that is how audiences have first seen her, it makes sense to then show what happened before. I just hope she's not telling the story to Bruce Wayne, although I suppose that is something that could be quite likely. I just don't want Affleck or Batman to have to prop up her movie.

In a brand new interview for a show in Israel, Good Night with Guy Pines, Gadot discussed the recent news regarding Wonder Woman being bisexual – which was revealed recently by comic book writer Greg Rucka. The interview was in Hebrew, but Batman-News had somebody on hand to translate it, and Gadot revealed who she’d like to be Diana Prince’s love interest if a sequel should happen:

Halle Berry. She’s so beautiful. Wow! She’s gorgeous! So… yeah, I could do it with her.

Gal gets to pick famous actresses to make out with. Goddammit.

Why does she pick Halle Berry? I thought Gal goes for red heads. And there's even a red-headed character in WW: Artemis. She could've been WW's love interest.

mmhmm, that's right. 2-3 years for every sequel is a desirable time.

Well actually, now that I am awake and can think clearly, 2019/2020, nix the 2018.

I hate flashbacks. So terrible. Lawd Jeezus, what was Francis Ford Coppola thinking when he made Godfather Part II?

:o

yeah i hate saving private ryan, forrest gump, the usual suspects, edward scissor hands, life of pi

garbage flashbacks movies:o

Haven't really followed the behind the scenes of the WW, but I hope this film isn't told in constant flashbacks.

Because if it is, the reports of the film being a mess makes sense.

Afaik, there are no reports. Just one anonymous disgrunted "ex-employee" who dropped the news days after the great first trailer.

Yeah, the only word out of WB beyond Patty, Gal, and Geoff has been that woman. There's not been anything to corroborate her claims, sooo...

I don't see a Forrest Gump approach to telling this story. I think it's going to be pretty self-contained in the 1910's, outside of perhaps the end of the film.

What about Titanic? That won 12 Oscars and most of the film was a flashback, with present-day scenes bookending it. It's also the 2nd highest-grossing film of all time.

Here's a real flashback!

LOL :lmao:

As for flashbacks, I don't think it'll be a problem. So it starts with a walk down memory lane. The 'present' will probably book-end it and it'll be fine. BvS gave her introduction, and now it's time to get to know her.

And ho wow, those clips were matched perfectly with the theme!:woot:

Isla Fisher joked that she wanted to be in the next WW movie as a love interest for Gal. So Gal should take her up on that and they can make out some more.

Still hoping for Room in Themyscira.

Of course, that would involve Elena Anaya getting in on the action.

I still don't know who she's playing. Would've been nice if they had cast an actor or actress as a physical threat to Diana that we actually knew about from the start.

I'm certain Anaya is Dr Poison.

Long time no post.

I personally now think that Zack Snyder is a nihilistic one-trick pony..

but I think Wonder Woman's direction from Jenkins and Gadot's quiet assertiveness
will make for a potentially good movie.

I like MoS, even if parts are greater than the whole in general. I think BvS is watchable,
but suffers from a lack of proper cinematic structuring as well as a poor villain.

I haven't seen SS.

Anyway, the WW trailer seems to mimic what Zack does well (slo-mo visuals), while hopefully breaking away from his grimdarknonstopaction mode.

I do think there's a bias against DC, but not in the "We want them to fail" as much as a subconscious rejection of what is considered to be deviating from "the standard." (Humor-oriented Marvel flicks)

All in all, if this is a legit GOOD film, I can't see this hitting over 70 percent.

But hopefully it can pave the way toward well-received DC films.

Watched the last trailer with a friend today that hadn't bothered to see it. He was very intrigued by what he saw. Take that as you will.
