One problem... DCEU is not in total ruin.

Currently it is a mess. Critical reception and general audience proves it. Even some hard fans have mixed reactions. Although with a decent BO run, all 3 films could have done more if they were better.

But I have high hopes WW will turn things around. Really like everything I've seen so far :)

Man, we're getting so close and I'm sweating bullets here. So far everything seems good but if this is another "twitter says good, critics say bad" situation then I dont think ppl will ever trust twitter reactions ever again lol

I also think WB has confidence in the film but BvS and SS scared them into submission so they're keeping their cards close to the vest JUST in case things turn south hence the late embargo.

Some tweets from last night from people who recently watched the film.

After BvS and SS I said I wouldn't fall victim to it ever again but I am getting to this point with this movie where if the early reactions once again turn out to be the complete opposite of the actual reactions I'll be heartbroken for a good while.

Especially since for BvS and SS around this close to their premier dates there were at least some hints that maybe it wasn't all that great.

With WW, 99% of the early stuff I hear sounds like praise so the fall will be twice as hard this time around.

Uh Oh

"Just finished watching a media preview of #WonderWoman & I have to say that it is awesome!"

Is she being threatened by WB?

And that other one has 3 stars! 0_0 3 Stars out of what!?

Panic!!!

Besides Joshua Yehl, the rest are tagged with #ad or #wbsponsored disclosures. I assume they were told to be positive in this case. But I don't doubt they actually liked it. :P

I doubt they were told they have to be positive, but I am guessing they were told they should tweet out if they liked it.

WB threatening bloggers and paying them to say good things is a thing now? The hype never ceases to amaze me.

considering how petty and vindictive critics are nowadays and how they abuse their power to ruin a movie's box office chances/reputation, I wouldn't be surprised if some of them who otherwise like the movie okay will give it a rotten rating based on the fact that WB is lifting their embargo so close to the release date to strip them of their (possibly ruinous) influence. Kind of like a "oh you're trying to circumvent us? well just for that we're going to give you crap" sort of like how a bully will be more motivated to pick on a kid who's insecurity and/or fear is evident. Don't get me wrong, I think most critics won't be this petty... but some could be.

The reviewers were afraid to give Ghostbusters bad reviews while Suicide Squad got the type of reviews Ghostbusters should have had think about htat

Do people who make these comments ever actually see Ghostbusters? Suicide Squad was bad. Flat out. It had so many problems. Ghostbusters did not. It was an average movie that got average ratings.

I saw Ghostbusters...it was way worse than SS. (my gf agreed so it isnt about the women)

I'm a woman who loves the actresses in Ghostbusters and was excited about the concept of the movie. I wanted to like it so much, and it was such a letdown. I'm not a huge fan of Suicide Squad either, but it didn't make me as bored or as annoyed as Ghostbusters did.

My hope is that Wonder Woman can be viewed and reviewed objectively and fairly.
