I haven't really followed the news about the AAF.

European Football, Arena League, CFL I've heard it before and it's had televised games time to time. Does anyone know how often these AAF games will air nationally on non-cable networks? Just curious...

Big time football all year round I don't think will happen as the networks just won't support it. I'm certainly kind of cheering for a shakeup to TV and Cable as we know it though.

As TV's become more personalized and stations continue to grow, perhaps there'll be some changes to TV as we know it in years to come...

I think just the opener and final. Most of the games are on either CBS Sports or NFL Network. If you don't have those, then you will probably have to stream them.

I had read that they only had a couple, which is why I didn't mention it. But if they have more, there is that too.

Presumably the NFL franchise or major NCAA school has the lock on the other local markets and they will try to slide in to a town where they are not the local off season minor league but the big dog.

I am surprised that they share two NFL cities. Having been the latest abandoned city San Diego makes the most sense of all. If it wasn't for the 49ers I would have expected Oakland to have been another city.

They will never get Sunday Prime Time on a legacy broadcast network, even for the final but with all the networks now along with a game on CBS they defiantly should be able to survive. The NBA supports a little watched minor league and a female league. All the clubs which formed the baseball minor leagues may have predated television but are able to survive playing concurrent to the best in the NL and AL.

Pulling for Birmingham Iron. I've been to a game and the crowd is really behind them. Alabama loves football. I'll definitely try and visit more games.

I'm hoping to catch a game sometime, but living in Minnesota makes that difficult lol.

Having poor attendance before the teams start playing like teams I would expect. Not meeting payroll during the period when any business plan should have predicted little or no income is inexcusable

Iron's defense is solid. I'm really excited for Apollos vs Iron in two weeks. Curious to see if it's a bit more full than the last game I went to.

I think it just needs a bit more time for people to see it and hear about it. Most people who have given it a chance are enjoying it.

I think it'll get there. I still run into people who don't know the league exists at all. They didn't spend a ton on advertising which is a good and bad thing I think..

    Memphis got their first W.

Apollos vs Stallions is on now. Good bit of snowfall during this game.
