Hope they don't dress down Marisa Tomei's Aunt May to look dowdy. 50 y.o. stylish women do exist.

They didn't cast Marisa fricking Tomei to make her look old and rundown like classic Aunt May (Who i've never been a fan of). If they wanted that version then that's what they would've went for.

The Russos said this version of Spider-Man would be contemporary E.g. Modern, a product of this time period. May at the age of 50 shouldn't look like a withered granny with no fashion sense in 2016.

They casted May WAY younger, let's hope they embrace it.

In none of those pictures is she old and rundown (after all, they're actually pictures of her, unless you're saying she looks old and rundown). She just looks naturally like her age.

We know Feige wants Peter to be in High-School for at least two films. That was one of the first and main things Feige stressed- not rushing him out of High-School like both Raimi & Webb did after the first movie. And we know via the Sony leaked emails that Marvel really didn't like the fact that Peter graduated High-School in the second film of TASM series. (But i'm sure you know all that considering that you are/was a regular over at the Spidey sub-forum)

Point is, Peter has to start out younger to accommodate for more than one film in HS, so him being 14 in Civil War does makes sense.

I'm aware of why they're doing it

I wouldn't be surprised if he's outta school by the end of the third movie, if not before

Realistically speaking 2 is all they can do. He's 14 in CW which means he's either Freshman or early Sophmore. By 2017 (depending on how long after CW it takes place) he should be 15 or 16 either Sophmore or Junior. After that his next appearance is in the Infinity War films. Which he should be 17 or 18. Junior or Senior. They could do a film with Junior or Senior Peter depending on how Tom looks by after IW. But after that...they...wait they can do 3. Nvm I was wrong. If they started him off at 14, that means if they wanna do 3 High School films they can.

It's the year 2017, Spider-Man is dead. But since he was a myth in the first place before he ever got public no one cares that much. Norman Osborn attempted to take over NY under the persona but was utterly demolished by the Avengers, since, ya know, there ARE other heroes in the world.

I was just thinking, maybe Spideys new suit will be in the same style as Black Panther but just red/blue with the mask. Ya know what I mean? Like that might be the closest reference outfit to compare it to since both are full body suits with masks.

It's been stated that his costume looks homemade, unless Stark makes him a new-er suit for some reason for his cameo.
