EDIT: Oh right, Liz Allan was Latina and Debra Whitman was black. That was nice, but it's not like they racebended the main supporting cast like Gwen, Harry or MJ. Said I was kidding, so of course it's not a big deal. I do look forward to the Russos' version of Spidey.

If they're allowed to show the hoodie pictures next friday, there's a chance we might get a full look at the costume. Maybe a glimpse in the new Civil War trailer or a cover from Etertainment Weekly.

Well the fact that spidey has an arc at all implies he must play a big role in the film. You know, I gotta admit, I'm gonna eat crow because I was certain that Spidey was going to be nothing more than a glorified cameo in this film, but its sounding more and more that he's as important as Black Panther.

Cap, Tony, BW, WS, Falcon, Black Panther and probably Zemo - most likely in that order are the lead and main supporting roles. Then there's Scarlet Witch, Vision, Hawkeye, Agent 13, War Machine, Spider-Man, Crossbones.

If Spidey was always in CW script from the beginning, then its pretty much a sure thing that hes more than a cameo. Hes part of the fabric of the story.

Not sure what more needs to be debated on this topic.

No it doesn't.

A character can have an arc within a story and be a minor and inconsequential figure within the larger story. A good example of this would be Flash Thompson in "The Amazing Spider-Man", he's a minor character in that film, but we see him and his relationship with Peter change throughout the course of the movie, that's a character arc.

Conversely a character can have a major integral role within a story and have no arc whatsoever.
