Am I the omly one who prefers Superman to be the sole survivor of Krypton. I am not trying to start a debate thread, on whatever he should be or not. T was just wonding if I was the omly one. The reason I prefer him to be the sole survivor is, it just makes him a bit more unique in my estimation to not only be something of a alien that introduces himself to the human race by doing good fighting for truth, justice, and the american way, but also the very last of his kind. To have other survivor's such as Zod, Kypto and Kara works. But it's certainly a concept that I could live without.

But all jokes aside, I think any other "human" kryptonians are fine, but i draw line after krypto. I dont think it takes that much away from supes.

I'd agree. There's something more tragic about being the sole survivor of your doomed planet, than being the sole survivor except for your cousin, a dog, a horse, a monkey, and an entire city. Every time they add another heroic survivor it cheapens the whole thing. Maybe its just me, but I like him being unique.

I can live with the Phantom Zone survivors since they're all 'bad' (I kind of like the fact that the only people Superman could call his fellow Kryptonians are mass-murderers etc).

Superman and Supergirl are the natural Kryptonian survivors.

Chris Kent is fine considering that he never witnessed Krypton in any shape or form. So technically he isn't even a survivor of Krypton.

And Krypto is fine as long as Streaky, Comet, and Beppo are ignored.

Now J'onn no longer being the sole Green Martian, that's something I have a problem with.

In my ideal DC reboot, Superman would be the sole survivor of Krypton. I'd come up for different origins for Power Girl and Supergirl and other important "Kryptonians" so that they still exist within the DCU and have similar powers and abilities, but I think it takes away from the character of Superman if he has Kryptonian family or friends with him on Earth. I would also eliminate the alternate Earths. The idea of having multiple versions of the same person running around instead of just coming up with new characters is ******ed to me.

Supergirl worked better for me as a survivor of Argos, like in the cartoon. Almost family to Superman, but not quite.

Superboy should be Conner.

Chris Kent should not exist.

The other two Phantom Zone criminals should be killed off after their first encounter with Superman, either because Superman decides they're too great a threat and kills them, like before, or through some other means.

Krypto should be a normal Earth dog who somehow gains Superman-like powers. I really hate the idea that Krypton not only had people who are identical to Earth's people in every ****ing way, but also dogs who are identical to Earth's dogs in every ****ing way.

Personally, I'd make Krypto a normal dog, and Kara Clark's earthly cousin, the daughter of Martha's kid sister or something. Then I'd have one or both of them get powers through some Earthly means. Maybe they're kidnapped and experimented on by Lexcorp.

I'm cool with Supergirl being in the DCU, but I wouldn't care if she wasn't there. I don't like her but I don't hate her with a passion. But I guess I'd prefer she wasn't there; don't really care.

I let Powergirl slide because she is from a different Earth, and I like her more than Supergirl (as a character, not cause of the huge honkers).

I heard there is supposed to be some third survivor from Krypton though? That I don't like.

Why not just make Power Girl into Supergirl? Who says Superman's cousin must be Supergirl and pattern herself completely on him? Give the woman her own identity for Christ's sake.
