Really doesn't like the idea of a "Smart Hulk?"
Like the Hulk who wears normal clothes (nice pants, shoes, tank top or t-shirt), and talks like a normal person?
It's bugged me since I was a kid. Banner's mind controlling the Hulk's body.
I always liked the Savage Hulk, who wore ripped pants, no shirt or a tattered shirt, and screamed and had no self control and would say stuff like "Hulk smash!".

Now, I also haven't given this "Smart Hulk" a chance yet. I haven't read into alot of him. So maybe he's not all that bad. But I hear alot of good things about that whole story arc.

And now I come here and Hulk's red, wtf? I haven't been able to pick any comics of any sort up in a long time.

With the exception of WWH and War Hulk, I prefer the good old savage Hulk.

I like him.

I think we have seen a lot of similar characteristics in the Abomination. He kept his smarts where as HULK did not. But the smart version of the HULK is indeed fun.

Lots of potential to, just think what Banner could do while he controls the HULKs body.

I prefer WWH, he's sort of an amalgamation (sp?) of a smart and savage hulk being closer to savage, though if I were forced to choose between the smart or savage hulk it would be savage all the way.

Count me in as a Savage Hulk fan as well.

Actually, when was the last time the Savage Hulk, not some amalgam, but the classic Savage Hulk last been seen in The Incredible Hulk comics?

Would you believe:

This was his last regular appearance as "The" Hulk, anyway.

I do like the Patrick Bateman edge sometimes though.

Yea savage hulk is by far the best incarnation of hulk. This is the hulk that everyone knows and loves. WWH was good, but there was something about his personality that i didn't like.

Indeed that is the thing about the Hulk we love him because he is the raw unchained anger that we all would like to let loose every now and then.....

Giving him more personality softens that.

I think it was that even though we were told this is the angriest he's ever been, we never really saw it, he was always quite calm and composed, even when fighting. The hulk we know and love isn't calm and composed, he's a force of nature, though WWH is still my second favourite.

Indeed a crazy man on the edge of frenzy!

but wwh was supossed to have been fogessed anger, I think thats why he was less of a force of nature and more of a force of gods will if you can get what I am saying.

You mean he was more focused - just as strong but controlled and calculated.

I get what you're saying, that's what the meditation was for, to help him focus his anger. However, the hulk basically is the physical incarnation of anger, this is what WWH lacked imo, hulk without real rage doesn't quite feel 100% like the hulk, well to me anyway.

well I tend to agree with you more but just because he didnt destroy everything dosnt mean he was not just as angry.rage can be equated outwordly or it can lay just beaneath the surface to seeth and grow ever more potent for the times he actualy needs to let loose.

Yeah I get that he was angry but what I'm saying is the smashing, the breaking stuff, the fits of rage is part of hulk and his charm, was just this what WWH lacked for me. Don't get me wrong, there were instances when we saw this blind anger, like when he attacked blackbolt, there just wasn't enough in the whole saga imo. Even when him and Juggers went toe to toe he was quite composed, I think it would've been better for him to let the blind rage out and put juggers in his place (I still think WWH should've won that little bout with ease :woot: ).

I see what you mean you just needed a bit more hulk smash. but he smashed just about every hero they had on hand so all in all I think it was a good haul.as for juggernaut easily defeated not in a million years but my money would have still been on ol jade jaws any day.

I think he should've defeated juggs relatively easily, well not easily but a heck of a lot easier than what was shown in x-men WWH. Hulk and juggs have gone toe to toe in the past, with that incarnation getting the upper hand a few times. As WWH was supposed to be the strongest and a pretty smart incarnation it should've been easier, would've been a really good show of his new strength aswell.

hulk has always been stronger than jusggs thats noth the problem. juggernaut is invincible...literaly even the hulk at the streangth level he possesed would have required quait a bit of time to see if juggs could have even been hurt.

Oh yeah I know that, what I though could've happened would be hulk actually pushed juggs back a bit and then threw him into the stratusphere or something lol. The stopping him in his tracks was quite impressive in itself but not impressive enough to warrant the strongest hulk incarnation thus far. You're right though, nothing hulk could do would actually hurt juggs, don't need to hurt him to win the battle though, just disable him, which the hulk did, just not in a very impressive way. Stick the two of them in a pit and they'd probably fight for eternity with no absolute winner.

no eventualy hulk would become so strong that even juggernaut could be toppled we just dont know what it would take.

At some point i need hulk to still be beatable. I mean whats the point if it literally becomes nothing can stop the hulk. Also for the record whats actually in continuity. I get the whole reboot with nightmare was gone but i wonder if Hulk will answer the question now whats the hell is in continuity.

hulk is very much beatabale just not in physical confrontation so much anymore which is what most people try, if on pisonic couldnt take him down get a couple and usely its all on the wrighter, but I know what you mean if there isnt that air of vaunarability the character no longer seems human then you are just dealing with another dc demigod.

Despite Hulk being at the very high level he is now they're are still many many people that could beat him, hulk could be the strongest there is but that alone won't win him every battle. Hulk is probably stronger than Thor but Thor could still beat him using his godly powers, Stark could develope technology to surpress the hulk enough to beat him. Basically the Hulk is very much far from unbeatable and no matter how strong he gets will never be unbeatable.

I actualy want a banner heavy story, personaly,
