Well, well, well...

Peter Parker, once again is a victim of the Unwanted Harem. You got Michelle as the hot-tempered, jealous woman with a grudge who (inexplicably) is still attracted to him; you get Norah as the energetic and snarky "cutie" (whose dialog I thought was quite hilarious here); and finally Mary Jane as the sweet, nonchalant, "we're just friends (or at least I tell myself this to mask my true feelings)" sexbomb.

EDIT: Also, since the Black Cat is in this story, she'll end up being the amoral, seductive, "vamp" of the bunch.

Just have Aunt May come back as the "Nanny" and introduce an annoying, doe-eyed ten-year old girl to tease Peter to no end and we're all set. :p

And I think just by the fact that Madame Web is being used to locate Peter pretty much confirms (at least in my mind) that she was the one who came up with his "psychic blindspot."

Can we wait until the comic comes out to make these threads?

Well, it is a preview, and I'm sure this thread can be used to discuss the whole issue eventually. Just thought folks would want a sneak peak if they wanted it.

Why don't you just put it in the Amazing thread? Nobody uses that since version 2 came out. You'd be doing the thread a favor.

I'm not picking a fight. It's just that, when there's nothing to talk about for a week, people just start using it as an excuse to vent.

Good idea. Thanks. :yay:

Am I the only one who finds Norah the most annoying character since Paul Stacy? "I totally poo-pooed my pants." Um, who says that? I understand they feel compelled to give her unique characteristics and personality facets (mostly so the writing may still shine through when an artist draws all the girls exactly alike), but she just doesn't act real. It's like a manic-depressive mixed with some anti-Mexican "teabagger." Peter definitely should have told her to GTFO after she started insulting Michelle solely on the basis of her Hispanic heritage. And we all saw the "UH OH! TROUBLE MULTIPLE GIRLS BARGE INTO PETER'S PLACE AT ONCE AND MISUNDERSTANDING ENSUES!" cliche coming. Disappointing so far, Mr Kelly, and I LOVED your Deadpool run. Hope it gets better quick.

That's ridiculous. Stop being the "thread police." Yes, people use it to vent, but venting can be fun (and that's coming from a mostly pro-BNDer). As long as it's related to Spidey, he should be able to start whatever thread he wants. And you should be able to skip over it.

How exactly am I being the thread police, if the guy that I suggested it to said:
Good idea. Thanks. :yay:

Sometimes, we can actually go about things in a civil way.

It's always interesting to me that people can say the most outrageously rude, insulting things, but suggest that we separate a thread and Woooah, Hold on, Thread Police!

The last page in that preview reminds me a lot of the last page in Amazing Spider-Man 242. Further proof that the Spidey-writers today don't have one single creative braincell.

ASM #608...THE ORGY...bank on it, as Peter continues to appeal to the kiddies. :cwink:

Hope Pete has enough fluid.

Web fluid that is :woot:

Yes, because we should all remember a sequence that happened in 1982...

:whatever: :whatever: :whatever:

Really???

:csad:

^ It makes me think of the Simpsons Comic guy in a basement at 3 o'clock in the morning going panel by panel, comics in one hand, his computer mouse in the other...

In Amazing Spider-Man 3 Spidey fights a guy called Doc Ock, in Amazing Spider-man 600 he also fights a guy called Doc Ock.

I smell rip off

Seriously how is it that peter's depressed all the time when he's constantly got women falling all over themselves to get with him? I've seen Peter with more girl than flash thompson.

Flash Thompson, hell... I've seen Peter with more girls than that *****ey looking actor from 'Twilight'. And he STILL can't get laid (except when staggering drunk of course!)

Well, comics bulletin has an early review of this issue up again, and boy some you Black Cat fans are going to go crazy over this statement:

Also, the ramifications of the "One More Day" story continue to screw up the character dynamic of the book in places: there's a particularly distracting moment that sees the Black Cat explicitly acknowledge the fact that she fell out of love with Spider-Man once he revealed his true identity -- but that she can no longer remember who he is.

I never thought about that aspect of it. The scene where Pete reveals his id and her subsequent reaction is one of my favorite "moments" in Spidey history. I kind of like this way of approaching it: [BLACKOUT]Felicia's actually getting what she initially wanted, but is probably pissed off that she can't rememberI hope in this case, he doesn't reveal it![/BLACKOUT] If that's where they're going with it, I'll be very happy!

Well, I think the implications here is (at least what the braintrust/webheads have implied when promoting this story) is
Felicia may not want to know who Spider-Man really is (even though her fantasizing about who he was under the mask is what made her attracted to him even more to begin with) because she likes it better when he "keeps the mask on" so to speak.

I like it. I always dug that Felicia's attraction to him was a little twisted.
