Yes. Clearly when Vought does more ****ed up human testing and Nazi BS she's going to say, "No you don't. I'm angry and you better stop!" And clearly they will listen now!

Have you read all/some of the comics?

    Worth the read?

From what I gather based on what I've been told & what you've pretty much confirmed, the show is more based on & features the characters from the comics & that seems to be pretty much where it ends. They seem to be writing their own stories & creating their own cannon.

Starlight is going to use her new status in the Seven to try and get Vought onto he side of the angels. Naive? Sure! But you've got to admire that girl's gumption!

And yes, I doubt Ms. January will be walking ANYWHERE in the future without a handful of hazelnuts.

Kripke made it sound like she wasn't going anywhere.

She's not draining the swamp. It's not happening. Starlight was naive in the first season. Now she's acting at a lower level.

    Exactly.

Not all of them. I think they are worth it if you enjoy overly edgy, shocking superhero satire. Garth Ennis has a very specific, unique style, and it's one that even I do not enjoy as much as I used to. But it's Garth Ennis doing social and superhero comic satire, and he's a guy that hates traditional superhero comics and characters.

The show has very much moved into its own canon at this point and is telling its own story, much like the way Preacher did if not more. And Preacher had some of the same people working on it.

Who said she has anything over Vought? She can still keep a closer eye on them and report anything to The Boys.

That doesn't sound like a great plan knowing what she knows about Vought, and Vought knowing what they know about her.

Absolutely brilliant season this one, I just finished watching it

loved the twist with the AOC character as a secret supe. I hope they don’t do a “nazis are bad in the last season so for balance we have to do a communists are bad this season” thing.

but super keen for what comes next! Loved Maeve

Yeah because we all know communism is good ;)

I don't think they are going that route.

I think Victoria Neuman might be heading up a coup on Vought from within, or Vought simply has a deep cover operative, so they have every side covered.

Neuman has still done things that have hurt and acted against Vought, so I think she is not completely in Stan Edgar's pocket. But I guess we'll see.

The show is based on a comic book and a fictional story at the end of the day. The writers and producers have the freedom to really do whatever they want. People are offended about what happened with the AOC stand-in because they think it enables right-wing conspiracists.

IT'S A ****ING FICTIONAL TV SHOW BASED ON A COMIC! THIS IS NOT SOME BIOPIC! IT'S NOT A DOCUDRAMA! No one is saying AOC is secretly some evil operator. Get over it. No subject matter is off-limits for storytelling. NONE.

That’s what I was thinking of. Should be interesting. I bet marvel and Disney will try to bury it so it doesn’t ruin their product haha

Not surprising, with what happened in the S2 finale.

Karl Urban has been great, but overall this is a really interesting take on heroes in real life haha.

I’ve mucked up my viewing of this a bit lol. By mistake I started on season 2 episode 1 and then somehow mixed in random season 1 episodes with my various Amazon Prime devices not syncing properly. I also went on binges and kept watching till I fell asleep and the show had moved on a number of episodes during that time with me not knowing exactly where I stopped watching. I’ve then rewatched a few times with the same thing happening again. :D

All back on track now though and powering through season 1 in order. Should be finished very soon and then will be rewatching the parts of season 2 I’ve already seen.

Whilst the other cast members have left their mark, Karl and Tony steal this show. I'd like to think they'd at least be nominated for something this year; they deserve it.

Yep, agreed. Starr as Homelander is absolutely perfect. They both deserve some recognition.

Shows like this never get the award recognition they deserve.

Look no further than Vincent D'Onofrio in Daredevil. You can't tell me that wasn't an award worthy performance.
