Oblivion and Pacific Rim Creators Team Up for Futuristic Cop Drama on AMC

http://www.comingsoon.net/news/tvnews.php?id=103127

Oblivion creator Joseph Kosinski and Pacific Rim writer Travis Beacham are teaming up for a new series at AMC. Titled "Ballistic City," the show will tell the story of "a former cop thrust into the criminal underworld of a city housed in a generational spaceship destined for an unknown world." The show's inspirations are said to come from Chinatown and Blade Runner.

In development now, the pilot will be written by Beacham with Kosinski signed on to direct. The pair will executive produce the series along with Anonymous Content's Steve Golin, Bard Dorros and Michael Sugar.

The series is being eyed as a companion to The Walking Dead should it be picked up. Check back here for more updates on the show as we learn them.

Kosinski's Oblivion opens this Friday, while Pacific Rim opens July 12.

Ohhhh yeahhhhh!!!

I need something to take over for Walking Dead after that abysmal season finale.

Sounds awesome. Hope it's better than The Walking Dead.

So how many show runners do you think this one will go through?

Most promising pilot in development announced today by AMC, having Kosinski attached to direct from the start certainly makes it seem like it will get picked up to series.
